What would you rather have

I'd rather have a team like Jimmy when he was here. Win the games you're suppose to win. Play tough in games that you are suppose to lose. Dallas problem is that they are always in the middle. I'd rather go 0-16 then 8-8 or some where close every year.. 8-8 doesn't get you rebuilt nor does it get rid of a sorry coach. 0 and 16 does both,
Yeah who wouldn't. But that's not the choice I gave you

Answer: Great team

A great team may have an opportunity present itself and win it all. A bad team is doomed.

I would not label this season's team as 'great'. Good? Yes. Great? No. The team must earn that distinction for itself. Not for the sake of fans, etc. They should work towards making that happen for their own sake.
I was speaking in general. But I understand reason why you might not think so. I don't know why everyone thinks there's an agenda

Yes I did. But that was in content of the rest of the post. You can't just pick out the words you like. You have a habit of doing that my cowboy brother. Yes I'd rather have them suck and be good. And supposed to be good and suck
It doesn't work where they can suck and be good. Even if you start the season thinking they will suck, and it turns out they are good, you will see it within just a few games, and you will start expecting them to win again.

Would you rather have a bad team. And then watch them win things they shouldn't.. would you rather have a great team. And watch them lose games they should win. Personally I'd rather suck and then win. So I don't get let down. Garrett should be gone yesterday. It all starts with coaching. You can make a bad player good. Are you can make a good player bad. So frustrated I could spit nails.
I'd rather have a ugly wife. So if she leaves me it won't hurt as bad. Hey, don't look at me strange. You just said the same thing about the Cowboys. I think? Who knows what the hell you just said!

You can't root for ugliness.
That's all I know.

The Jets suck and then they would good and beat us. It definitely works that way I can give you a hundred other examples

I'd rather Jerry Jones sell the team, preferably to an owner who won't appoint himself GM-for-life and hand all of his children high-level positions.
Other than the pitiful Cincinnati Bungles, there are zero team owners who would try to win a SB with themselves and their kids as the centerpieces of the football side of things. It is clearly an inherently bad way to gain a Lombardi. History and on field results prove it.

Yeah, but they are 2-7. Great, you got a thrill for 2 games, and sucked the other 7. How in the world is that enjoyable. Did you enjoy 2015 more than this season? Did you enjoy 1989 (1-15) more than 1990 (7-9) or 1991 (11-5 and knocked out in the division round of the playoffs)?

How in the world is having no hope at all more enjoyable than having hope? How in the world is not being competitive more enjoyable than being competitive, even if you lose some of those competitive games?

Sorry, but I cannot fathom that.

You lost it. LOL . Way off base. What else is new

I could tolerate the losing Jimmy's first few years because you could tell he had a plan and he owned it. He said we're not good but we're going to be.

I can't stomach the mediocrity and underachieving. The current climate of the Dallas Cowboys isn't about winning football championships and hasn't been for some time. It's about money, but more than anything, it's been a quarter century long journey of constantly trying to validate Jerry Jones as a "football guy". Fraudulent people surround themselves with yes men and other frauds to prop up the guy who signs their checks. Despite all this, they have put together a decent amount of talent right now. The easiest thing to control is coaching and the owner wants so desperately to be right about Garrett that he continues to let him hamstring the team. The team is at a crossroads with Garrett's contract ending after this season. Jerry has an easy way out but I just don't trust him to do the right thing. Even if he does, I'm not sure he doesn't go out and sign a mediocre, happy-to-be-here head coach like John Fox, Jack Del Rio, Mike McCartney, or Dan Campbell. They need a culture changer. They need someone who will take complete ownership of the on field product and make the players accountable to him.
