Well, it is their responsibility if head injuries had something to do with it. But really, the way they treated him gives really bad optics to Randle, which is really unfair.I see your point, but I don't believe it's the Dallas Cowboys responsibility to take care of the guy, besides the Cowboys are well known for doing more for players than any other team. It was Joseph Randles actions that ruined his future. We can debate whether it was "brain trauma" as a result of concussions all we want, but at the end of the day.. Nobody forced Randle to play football. He choose football, like many players, because he had the talent to get paid better than he ever would anywhere else. Players will gladly take the lucrative salary and wildly spend it without discipline or regard for thier future, yet thier employer is held responsible for thier health? No. It's a business and should be treated as such. The players have negotiated a players union for these matters. And I'll also note: I have a CDL license. If I go drink and drive on my off time and get arrested for DUI, lose my license, I'd surely be fired.. Do you think it's my employers responsibility to make sure I'm ok? The answer is no. It's my responsibility. Wish more people in this world would get that only you are responsible for your actions. And I'll end with..if Randle needed help and couldn't see that..well, that's when family and friends should have told him. Of course, you are who you surround yourself with.
There is no point comparing a truck driver to an NFL player, especially since you don't seem to have any mental issues.
His friends and family aren't trained to identify and treat mental disorders, and he wasn't around them very much when he was on the Cowboys. So I don't know what that last sentence has to do with anything.
