Whatever happened to yanking the quarterback?

A couple weeks ago, after the Eagles game, I sent an email to Norm HItzges asking a simple question .... why didn't the Eagles yank Nick Foles? He couldn't hit the side of a barn that day.

Tonight, I wondered, why didn't we yank Romo when there was still a desperate shot? What's the point of having a veteran backup if you aren't even going to put him in at the end of the game?

Even Roger got yanked here and there when he played poorly, IIRC.

I was wondering the same. Brees got pulled and so should have Romo. I am not sure that thought even crossed the coaches minds.

As bad as Romo has looked at times this season, Orton is just not a good QB. We really need to draft his replacement.
