I have yet to get a very clear answer here, but considering the amount of o-line talent generally drafted on day 2, I would have to think he would be worth some kind of day 2 pick (possibly in conjunction with other pick to move up, say with our 4th rounder to move into the late 2nd or with our 3rd to move into the early second). All indications suggest that he is trade bait now, how much is that trade bait worth to a team that wants a guard?

He'll probably sign a contract next year that will bring a 5th as a compensatory pick in 2018, so I'd say that's his floor. If a team isn't going to give up at least a 4th, I just enjoy the depth Leary brings. Leary's a starter who can't beat out two stellar Guards.

Player trades are pretty rare during the draft. There'd be concerns by the acquiring team about the player passing a physical and about signing to a contract. I think it's more likely after the draft for a pick next year, sending him to a team that didn't resolve an OL need as much as they'd hoped.

Best move would be to dangle him for a 2017 day 2. His value isnt much in terms of this draft. The run on OGs has started and some team is going to miss out and could be willing to give up a very solid 2017 for a solid young OG

I agree. Future pick is the way to get value from him.
