At the time, most here agreed with the trade if I remember correctly. Sometimes in life things don't work out as planned. Yeah, in hindsight, I think pretty much all of us would rather have Brockers and Wagner than Claiborne.

So, the Claiborne trade didn't work out so far. On the other hand, the SF trade which netted us Fredbeard and Williams seems pretty nice. You win some and you lose some.

No hindsight is much more fun here in the zone. The draft is over and the player is here now, but some will still complain about the picks.

Good grief! How many preseason games has this bum missed in his 3 years?? How much practice time??

Get the dude a bottle and put him to bed already.

Yet look at how they do when they don't swing for the fences and stay put in the draft. You end up with players like Tyron Smith, Frederick, Martin, etc.

We stayed put and landed winners like Felix Jones, Mike Jenkins, and Bobby Carpenter as well.

Moved up to get Dez.

Your cherry picked examples are evidence of nothing,

i have always been against it,these are not moves made by a talent bereft team.

Yes, if your team does not have much talent, why on earth would you add a guy you rate as a top talent over a lesser talent and a guy who doesn't even rate a first day pick.

Were you against moving up to get Dez Bryant? After all, we did have to move up to get him.

This. At the time it seemed like a good trade. Highest rated CB in a draft where we desperately needed help in the secondary

Whats official news, probably from fight? Getting agitated with the players and managing of this team. Scandrick and now Claiborne cant tomorrow? We need people in here we can depend on to be on field. I dont want to hear secondary is ok. Please. Then we picking up Te and iish.

I reiterate .... I have no faith in Claiborne ... see Exhibit A (he's hurt again ... and lets not mention his invisible ball skills) or Carr. I'm just not feeling them. Claiborne is soft. And Carr, he's just taking up space. Now put that on a mean tweet.

If there were an adequate search feature here, you could see that not everyone liked the choice.

has a slight ac joint separation garrett says day to day within a week he hopes

I have had ac joint injury and I can tell you its not area of body that heals quickly. Mostly because there is little blood flow to that area of shoulder so it took me a year to get it back to normal. I hope his recovery time is much sooner.

I think the NFL is going to learn that the bigger, stronger, more physical athelete requires new school methods. Teams don't hit every day during the season. Why? Because it takes 4 - 5 days just to recover from a game. So the idea of hitting every day during training camp...causes a lot of injuries. Think about it.....during the season...guys get hurt in games for the most part.

I know the new CBA has reduced the amounting of hitting they can do. But again....these athletes train year round...they are machines. The body only has so many collisions in it. I am not sure what the right answer is...but there is a lot invested in these athletes....and it is in everyone's best interest to get them to the regular season healthy. So hitting every day is simply not a good idea for some of these guys.

I have far more faith in Carr and I think he is stealing money.

Nothing worse that an underperforming prima donna that is not reliable. That is Claiborne.

Some liked it, some didn't, what's done is done.

"What's done is done" was also with the Roy Williams trade, the drafting of Bobby Carpenter and I can go on and on.

That does not make it right, nor justifiable.

The whole point is that this is not people just deciding now it was risky trade after signing Carr. It was discussed before.

Drafting Dez Bryant at the time considered a risk, trusting an undrafted QB to be your starter, there is risk in making NFL moves. My point when they work your a genius when they don't "why did they do that"? As I stated some moves work some don't .

Big difference in the trade terms and the circumstances.

We did do research on Bryant. We gave up the 3 and 4 for him.

We did zero research on Claiborne, gave up more and even the player was shocked they traded up for him.

They had a grade on the player so they did research, he may have been shocked he was drafted, he wasn't interviewed prior to the draft. The point remains it happen and he's here.
