Alfred Morris rushed more than adequately against the Eagles with over a 5 YPC for at least over a half while Dak kept turning what should have been seven points into 3 points..

When we get on the red zone, per Linehan, Dak usually has a run/pass option. In fact in the first game of the season, when Dak went three times to Dez against the Giants, all three were a run pass option and Dez threw two bad passes and the first, Dak caught it but was out of bounds in the air.

Any OL can be beaten if the defense can just rush the passer with minimal worries about big plays from the running game.[/QUOTE]

:clap::clap::clap:That's the way this team is currently built .......... no respect for the running game makes easier shut down rest of offense.

Maybe Dak’s pre-read adjustments are simply garbage too and it’s impacting the OL play...

Just another ‘absolve’ Dak thread...
Its not absolve dak, but its not all him. This is a bigger mess than nust one player. When as a qb you cant even set your feet, then you have protection issues. But the coaches arent adjusting with 3 step drops and continue to go 7 step.

When late in the game we went to quick throws we had some success, it slowed pass rush and allowed dak to go deep a couple of times. We didnt make the plays but he staryed to have more time.

There is a lot wrong right now.

Our best bet IMO with Dak, besides Zeke is Rico. Dak is better when the passing area is made smaller for him, which is why he is better in bootlegs.

Dak passes better in the middle of the field and if we need a reason for safeties to fear a TE going down the seams, which would also give him more effective opportunities deep down the sidelines.

The line has struggled all year, but their play yesterday was better than it’s been in 3 weeks. Morris was solid, imo.

The o line has been looking shaky the whole year. Zeke was averaging under 4 yards a carry for a few games to start the year. Losing Leary and I really don't know what these guys are doing in the offseason. It seems like once we have a decent year or even a decent game, the next year/game, we come out completely unprepared.

He was never going to stay, that said they need a new oline coach for sure

I had wondered if Jerry could have gotten him to stay simply by throwing a lot of money at him. Coaches salaries don't count toward the cap.

During the 3 game winning streak they were playing very well. Perhaps some competition for jobs would help as well.

not sure if Rico is ready....a TE and a RB unappreciated skills are their pass blocking and one thing I give Zeke that's missing now was his ability to protect Dak and give him more time. Rico is far from being ready to contribute in a meaningful way. people are often enamoured with his measurable.

It's been obvious since the first game of the season, should have never let Leary go, we got greedy.

I would just remove Rico from the brain. He's so far removed from being a credible option.

How exactly does one become ready? Were Dak and Zeke ready last year?

If he was ready for preseason, he should be ready to at least start practicing by now. That is, as long as his health is ok.

Letting Leary walk was a huge mistake. But you know Jerry just had to hand a job to Collins after his brilliant move to sign him.
There are still zoners here zoners here who claim that Collins "beat out" Leary for the starting job

We started out 5-3 against defenses that ranked an average of 22nd in points allowed per drive. During the 3-game win streak, we faced defenses that ranked an average of 27th in points allowed per drive.

Over the last 3 games, we've faced defenses that rank an average of 10th.

Fair to say the Collins' expirament was a failure?

Time to move on from Tyron?

Is Frederick having to pick up Cooper's slack affecting him?
