What's the crowd going to look like tonight?

Tonight's an important game on SNF against a team that's been pretty good in recent years. I want to think our fans turn out in good numbers tonight, but I'm nervous we get a sea of black and gold a la San Fran in Week 1. The crowd could be a factor in the game tonight, and it would be pretty embarrassing to have another 50/50 split on national TV.

Thoughts?

On topics such as this, the fans are what they are. In the past stadiums, there was always a homefield advantage...I think the current group is mainly comprised with someone wanting the top dollar and cash flow to excite personal ups.

We shall see...

There will be a lot of Saint fans there as there will be for each home game.

It's up to the Cowboys to play better and win to shut them up.

I think there will be a 50-50 mix of Cowboys and Saints fans. Jerry's World is just one of those rare places that all fans want to see in person. Roof open under the stars... let's just hope the blue stars inside are victorious tonight.

I don't really find it embarrassing or bad. Just a consequence of building the nicest stadium in human history. Opposing fans want to visit it.

People making this a referendum against the team or ownership are silly.

And this happens everywhere. Even with winning fanbases that pride themselves on homefield advantage. See (Seahawks, Seattle not selling tickets to those with California addresses for the NFC championship game).

Even though I'd rather it be an intimidating home field advantage

These opposing fans are helping jerry pay their teams bills die to revenue sharing.

Cowboys Stadium is the most prestigious stadium in all of pro sports. It's like taking a trip to the Vatican or going to see the Statue of Liberty, everybody wants to see it. If we were poll opposing fans to see which opposing teams stadium they would travel to watch their team play, I bet most would pick ATT stadium. We should always expect opposing team fans to represent in large numbers.

Those humongous AT&T letters they placed on top of the stadium take away from the look of the stadium on TV.

The symbol is not bad but those big letters are cheesy looking.

And yes I realize they paid a zillion dollars to do that.

It helps that it is a Sunday night game. Since New Orleans is a 7+ hour drive away for those that need to return home before Monday morning.

With a big new stadium like AT&T, with the Internet making buying/selling tickets so easy, and with the bandwagon nature of mankind in general, I think there will always be a pretty large segment of rival fans in the stands when Dallas plays a winning team (49'ers, Saints, Patriots, Steelers, etc.).

It will be that way everywhere... including where Dallas is the road team.
