What's the draft like in your house?

Which one of the following are you most like?

1. Glued to the TV and only take pee breaks if it's really bad.

2. Check in alot during the day but don't want to see it all.

3. Have someone tell you only when Dallas is on the block.

4. Check in at the end of the day to see what happened.

5. Don't really care about the draft and will see the new players in camp.

I usually watch the first few picks, go and occupy my self for the hours long wait until the Cowboys pick, watch that live, turn off the TV and read the recap at the end of the day. I find it to be terribly long, and even more boring. I want to know who our next player is, but Im not going to be sitting around for 6 hours of Kiper and the rest of the morons yapping over highlight reels.

Not sure...'cause I'm at the bar for Draft day 1. :D

Seriously though...its usually a fun day for me. Lots of trash talk, friendly wagers, and phone calls with more trash talk. Good times.

I don't watch much college ball so my knowledge of college prospects is limited.

I'll probably watch the first round and then tune in when the Cowboys are on the clock.

I'm somewhere between 2and 3. My two sons and I watch alot of day 1 but the first round after about the 8th pick will be forever until our Boys pick at#22. We still look every 10 mins or so just to see if Jerry has lost his mind.:lmao2: Don't tell me it would surprise you if he pulled some bone head move.:D

I know the feeling.

This year might be different now that the Parcells influence has left, but I wouldnt want to bet on it.

Hopefully no more "Fasano's" this draft.

What's with the Fasano hate? It was a good pick.

Fasano is a good backup TE but i'de rather have our starting LT of the future (McNeil) over a backup TE

I just didn't think we needed a (very) poor man's Witten on the team. Leonard Pope would have been a better pick IMO. That's just me though.

I usually watch the entire first day, uninterrupted, except for the occasional physiological need. Then I just watch when Dallas is on the clock on Day 2.

At the time it sure seemed like it. JJ and co. were talking about some two TE set that would solve world peace among other things. That never really ever panned out as planned as Fasano was never involved enough. I am willing to see what he has to offer. Its foolish to judge anyone after their first year in the league.

Think about this as if it was this time last year.

We had nothing behind Witten. We were going to the two TE set. We had prospect tackles we were interested in that were already on the roster. Adams has two years left on his contract. McNeil has injury concerns. We've busted several times with OL prospects with the injury label.

Now tell me...why would I not take Fasano?

That's a possibility. I think eveyone will be pleasantly surprised with Fasano's ability should he ever have to showcase them. (god forbid anything happen to Witten)

I think so too. I think he'll prove to be an asset to the team.

This year, however, I'd rather not see any TE's taken by the Cowboys...if we do, we messed up. Draft day should be fun. We'll get to see if Jerry has Wade by the berries.

1. Wake up early, get the wife and kids out of the house and sit on the couch till I get bed sores and fecal matter all over me.

I watch the draft from start to finish on day 1. Lots of beer and nachos. I keep my own hand written draft record. It's pretty funny to see how much worse my handwriting gets as the day goes on and the beers start to pile up.

Day 2 I'm still glued but I will look away occasionally as the TV coverage starts to suffer towards the end.

My two best friends and I typically sit infront of the TV for all three rounds on day 1.

Two things I remember most...being terrified of not getting Roy Williams when we traded down and time ran out on the clock (think the Chiefs ended up getting Ryan Sims?) and watching Steven Jackson gloriously fall...and fall...and fall...and then we trade out of the 1st round...my friends and I were stunned.
