What's your favorite comedy movie? There can only be one!

There’s just too many to choose just one, but I’ll name one that’s a bit less famous. That is extremely funny. Besides the ones we all know like home alone and animal house and that is.DR DETROIT.
“Err ahh now which one of you is Mom?” “ let’s chew the fat love chunks.” “ the doctor doesn’t pay.”
Probably Dan Aykroyd’s best role.

I'd have to go with Caddy Shack as well, but an underrated comedy, and also unheard of comedy, is What's Up Tiger Lily? It's an early Woody Allen flick but different and very funny if you are in the right mood.

I really like this movie. Not the best ever but I still like this one and wish they would have made a sequel like they teased.

The Court scene where he is playing the exaggerated southern gentlemen always makes me laugh.

Some might not see it as a comedy however I saw the original
Jumanji (1995) the other day and was very entertained.

I won't be seeing any of the reboots...no interest...

I’ve been thinking about this since yesterday, and I don’t think I can narrow it down to just one.
Every time I settle on a movie, another instantly pops into my head like, “Hold up…..what about this?”

Man... so many great movies listed by everyone. I don't think the OP's nomination is a bad choice either... Step Brothers. Seen it at least 3x and LMAO each time.

Some comedies I haven't seen listed...

Ghostbusters
Elf
Get Him to the Greek
Coming to America
The Ladies Man
Fletch
Groundhog Day
What About Bob?!
The Nutty Professor (remake)
Wayne's World
Uncle Buck
Meet the Millers

One that flies under the radar but makes me laugh.
Boat Trip

Some ones with Richard Pryor

Brewsters Millions
The Toy with Jackie Gleason
Harlem Nights
Bustin Loose
Critical Condition

Teaming up with Gene Wilder
Stir Crazy
Silver Streak
Hear no Evil, See no Evil

He was also one of the writers for Blazing Saddles. Gene Wilder wanted him to play the Sherriff but the studio said no.

This Is 40. I don't think it got the respect ot deserved because I think people got burnt out on those Apatow flicks

However Rudd and Mann's chemistry was just incredible

The Big Lebowski
Raising Arizona
Shrek
The Mitchells vs The Machines
Tropic Thunder
Tropic Thunder makes me laugh every time! I have no idea how some of those dudes kept a straight face when Robert Downey Jr talked to them.

And one of the greatest lines ever - Always go full tard.

Here is one I mentioned in the Streaming thread, and I doubt will be on anyone's list but Addams Family Values. OMG, laugh out loud hilarious, seen it at least 3x! The camp with Wednesday and Pugsly is comedy gold! Christopher Lloyd as Fester and his girlfriend played by Joan Cusack. The current Gomez in Wednesday can't come close to the greatness of Raul Julia. Just so many laugh out loud moments!
