When is NFL Defensive Player of the Year announced?

cause honestly, that's all I'm looking forward to in the next few weeks.. now that the Cowboys are out, i could care less about the playoffs.. i just wanna see Ware win the award, feel good about it for a couple hours, then go back to trying not to think about NFL football for awhile..

With the way the Cowboys finished the season, I doubt Ware wins it. I'm guessing Ed Reed or Harrison from Crapsburgh

The Playoffs begin on Saturday.

I am amped for that.

I don't think Ware is getting it either. Reed led the NFL with 9 INT's.

Sanders won it last season as a Safety and Ed Reed is a better player than he is on a better defense.

If not Reed then Harrison may get it over Ware. He had an INT, Ware didn't. He has 4 passes defended, Ware has none. Plus he has a Safety on his resume.

And he plays for a #2 seed with the Steelers.
