...At 2-3, the Cowboys can't really thumb their nose at anybody, even a winless team. With the Washington Commanders, Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles next on the schedule, the Cowboys can't afford a loss Sunday.
This is the 10th time in Jerry Jones' tenure the Cowboys have started 2-3. Only once have they made the playoffs (1996). This is the fourth time the Cowboys have started 2-3 under Jason Garrett and they have never finished better than 8-8.
"I think the biggest thing we try to focus on is just ourselves and what we need to do to play our best football," Garrett said. "Obviously we have great respect for them and their coaches and players. All you have to do is watch the tape. They've been in close games all year long. Again our focus is on ourselves and what we need to practice our best each day to play our best on Sunday."...
