When Lamb Returns, is Flournoy WR 3?

Just curious what y'all think. I'm all for getting the best players for your system on the field.

At this point, I think it's pretty clear Flournoy is developing and has a much higher ceiling than Tolbert.

As much as it hurts, I think you have to give Flournoy the nod at WR3 on the depth chart. He has earned it.
In my mind he is

I think Flournoy has earned the number 3 wide receiver position. He reminds me of Dez the way he runs after the catch. Lamb, Pickens, Flournoy, Turpin and Mingo.

I believe Flournoy will be behind Turp, Tolbert, and Mingo. Imagine if that happens you'll have a WR who had a breakout game behind 2 WRs who never had one, and are considered draft bust...only in Dallas.
NEver had one? tolbert last year had over 600 yards and seven touchdowns, I believe a couple of those touchdowns won games, I believe he won the game against the Eagles let's stop acting like Cedric Wilson( yes that flos comp right now) has somehow arrived that's right Flournoy had a great game but something is keeping him lower and the coaches will get it figured out but there are only so many snaps to go around and I'm not worried about who are 4th/5th wide receiver is... Remember all those big games Cedric Wilson had then he goes over to Miami and takes a dump look sometimes it easier when you're not being paid attention to to have a big game he needs to do it more but I don't really care who's getting the 4th and 5 wide receiver snaps I just don't.. Defense has been pretty good most of the year if not great so i'm gonna leave it up to the coaches to keep doing what they're doing..

WE were never supposed to be having these discussions, it doesn't matter when George Pickens, Lamb ,and Turpin, are healthy there's a reason they're on this team with the current depth chart..

Even if Turpin is not as good a wide receiver as you want him to be, he makes a difference even, in the backfield.. And you go to our tight end and then you go to our running backs, then what's left how many snaps do you think and targets in the passing game are left??

there's just not enough..facts...

They're complaining in a game that they just put up 24 points as an offense with no run game, the offensive line wasn't good, and yet they found a way to put 24 points on the board and you're complaining that you don't think your boy got enough snaps, but we put up 24 points.. This is the very problem with the fantasy football era we're in you guys are worried about a player getting more time and more snaps when the offense isn't having a problem with that right now.. This were the opposite like why aren't they getting yards why aren't they putting up stats and they're using the wrong players because they just can't move the ball then we can have a discussion but we should not be having this discussion right now...

I don't think they called those last two series too many receivers, those checkdown, slash screens, they weren't going to our receivers, now if Turpin was on the field I think he might have made something out of one of those...

I like Flo but he will get his turn when the coaches think he deserves it they not purposely killing his career..

Im sure theres a Good reason for why ever they're using Tolbert, it's not money, tolberts don't make a lot of money it's not draft status they really feel he's better and you're questing an offense that's pretty much top 5 in every category this year, and somehow you got a problem with it because your boys not getting slaps your pet cat not getting snaps but you're questioning a coaching staff that must have a good reason for it and the offense has been great this year let's just leave it right there...

True, and Stephen said he (and Carson) will be activated this week. I wouldn't be surprised if Flournoy actually loses snaps to Mingo the next few weeks.

It's a logjam of mediocrity with him and Tolbert. And another reason that trade Jerry made for Mingo was so brain dead. Just flushed a fourth rounder down the toilet.
We haven't even seen Mingo & Dak together.

Glad you took that time to let me know what the word count is and I'll keep doing it talk to Texas my friend and I'm going to keep using it on people who deserve it...

Not hard for you to understand that we have like near close to number one ranked offense in the NFL top 5 in every category and you're complaining about who might be our 4th or 5th wide receiver you know how futile that is is this short enough for you, you want to count those words?

Seriously to some of the things that people bring up in here you're worried about who is on the depth chart on the side of the ball that we're not having any real problems on Let's just stick to what we need to know the offense is clicking regardless of who you think should be WR4 or 5 it's not necessarily a worry we need to worry about all the defensive woes...

This team has a strange fixation with Tolbert. Flournoy needs to be #3 with Turpin the gadget guy. Simple as that.
The only things I can think of is that either Dak likes him so the Cowboys are going to give him every chance to show them he can't play or the Cowboys know they are about to move on from him and gave him a ton of snaps this past week in hopes of showcasing him for a trade. I simply can't find another reasonable explanation here.

I would imagine when Lamb and Turpin are back Flournoy will still be in the picture, but different plays/packages may use Turpin or may us Flournoy. I suspect Turpin probably gets used a little more, but maybe not

Don't get me wrong I agree Flo has some talent but I disagree that he needs to be forced into the number 3 spot because it's been working just fine the way the coaches have set up the depth chart that's my point why does it matter if he gets more playing time are you winning some kind of bet is he on your fantasy football team I mean yes eventually we will see more of them but right now in my opinion he's a Cedric Wilson that we saw years ago very good when he was necessary and needed but as soon as he got elevated in Miami what happened?

Saying that's what's gonna happen with Flo maybe he turns out to be a great player and don't say he reminds you of this that's what people keep saying no he doesn't he looks a lot like the number he's wearing and he looks like Miles Austin and that's a good thing but he'll get his due when he gets it but this offensive has been running great the way it's been set up that's not the problem on our team that's why I wonder why everyone's so worried about it they got some kind of money on the guy I mean did you put your house up in a bet that he would get more snaps than Tolbert I mean I don't get it?

I agree she's a very good player he has a possibly good future ahead of him or he could end up like said Wilson and be overrated.. There was a time that Cedric Wilson and even Laurent Robinson looked really good when this offense was humming because of the players also around them and the doesn't mean that when they became higher up on the depth chart they would continue to be that and they weren't when they left here..

Again I agree I like the guy and if he got more snaps over Tober I wouldn't care I just don't see where it matters at this point 'cause our offense is doing really well and that area George Pickens handled it while Lamb and Turpin were out and now when they come back it'll be even more productive but I still don't see it changing the depth chart below them...

We haven't even seen Mingo & Dak together.
Why is Mingo such a trigger here but who cares if he ever even plays one snap this year I don't our office has been humming along with George Pickens and Lamb with sprinkling in the other guys mingo isn't changing a damn thing unless you try to make him a tight end maybe we should make him eat more Tell send him to Mcdonald's all three meals and make him a tight end because whatever he is supposed to be you guys are overrating it Oh my God we can't wait till Mingo gets back..lol

I think the offense is just fine george Pickens and Lamb those are your primaries They'll use Ferguson they'll dump it down to the fullback and the running backs and then we start letting the crumbs kind of fall at the feet of these other guys right at this point it doesn't matter..

Depends on the Turpin rotation.
WR3 could be a rotation of those 2.
Schott should get them both on the field at times in 4 wide sets.

Tolbert has been assigned the #3 slot. This organization doesn't deviate from it's decisions regardless of facts.

I mean, if they like their defensive personnel, why wouldn't they be happy with Tolbert?
I’m hoping they’re going with Flournoy here because it’s not like Tolbert was a 1st rounder that they’ll force onto the field. He was a third round pick.

Well, you'd like to think they would do it because they can properly evaluate players. What am I saying??? No chance of that!! :lmao:

I was watching a Voch & Bryan B podcast & they were saying Dak really likes Tolbert. While they're entertaining to listen to, I don't think they're quite as connected as they try to insinuate.
