When Will Mo Officially Be A Bust?

Claiborne faced many passing attacks in college - his issues have been staying healthy and playing zone and off man coverages.

I believe he lacks the mentality of a great corner. A lot of false bravado.

Actually, you have a never post anything about football attitude, just post about other posters and call them names. Just FYI.

But I'm certain if you tossed in a couple of 3 tech and 9 routes into your posts, you would move up the charts from the primordial ooze where you find yourself to at least apposable thumbs

Go hang out with Alexander, Risen, UFC, get some "likes".

The 1991 draft did suck except there were a few "OK" players like that crazy, overweight, big-time partying QB who lost 30 inches of intestine in a car accident his senior year while at Southern Mississippi. He was there in the 2nd round.

The Cowboys managed to build a good amount of their core depth in this draft. They added Maryland, Harper, Dixon Edwards, Godfrey Myles, Erik Williams, Darrick Brownlow, Leon Lett, and Larry Brown. Jimmy had a number of misses in this draft (James Richards - taken ahead of Erik Williams, Tony Hill - the DE, not WR, and Kevin Harris), but he filled out the roster pretty well in this draft.

So the point of calling out the "haters" is what, exactly? Just to waggle your finger at people who are justifiably disgusted and have a legitimate reason to be critical of a player?

And sorry, when you label critics "haters" you are making it personal about your feelings about the player, not about the team.

A fan with a functional brain probably would care that a player has damaged the franchise and would not just switch things on and off at the moment the helmet decal changes.

Tough to do when he never went there.

And Ware was never considered a bust.

'

He might turn it around, I am just confident he will not. Not fortune telling, just using the available evidence to conclude a projection. The law of averages is well on my side.

Bro, go hang out with Twodeep...see if you two can get through Algebra.

Well, he had no hope of ever being worth the trade up and the pick used on him.

That being said, I thought he'd at least be a solid CB running around impacting nothing. I didn't expect this level of bust.

I would have loved to see him in a Parcells camp. I think he may have quit by now.

But to answer your question, TD....is he a bust in terms of being an NFL player? Not yet. But the move to acquire him is one of the worst any team has ever made.

And these geniuses would do it again. That's the worst part.

Do you not feel the same about the trade up for Demarcus Lawrence?

Now imagine Perry, just how irritated Aikman would have been since Dallas also gave up the first overall to draft Walsh in the supplemental draft. Then bring in Favre....geez, Aikman might have contracted a hit in Jimmy. Good catch on your part. I didn't look down the list past the first.

However, does anyone remember Dallas gave up a second in the supplemental where they took Walsh for a RB - 12th over-all in the 2nd - for Mike Lowman out of Colleyville JC, the cornerstone of junior colleges for running backs..

He is well on his way to becoming the worst draft day decision in franchise history.

Please try and remember a linebacker taken in the first rd by Bill Parcell for perspective on bust. Sometimes called Barbie.

Bruce Pickens was a completely different story than Morris Claiborne.

Pickens was a great testing athlete who played corner in a conference where no one threw the ball. Pickens was exposed when he got to the pros as not being able to cover man to man. Claiborne was considered a smooth athlete who excelled in press man, had outstanding ball skills, but lacked elite top end speed. Claiborne faced many passing attacks in college - his issues have been staying healthy and playing zone and off man coverages.

It's funny, but Atlanta busted a second time on a top ten Nebraska corner when Dan Reeves was in charge - Michael Booker. Very similar to Pickens in his case.

You can write a textbook on NFL 1st round busts just based on Atlanta over the past 3 decades or so. So many to choose from. Pickens, Broussard, Tony Smith, Andre Bruce, Booker, etc etc

I believe that he lacks the health and desire to play through pain. The false bravado means little when you aren't on the field.

It wouldn't surprise me it he get a quiet Alex Barron type swap just so the team can save face. You can blame the Cowboys for a lot of things, but he was hyped as the best defensive player in that draft. Sometimes everybody just gets it wrong.

That being said, they should learn their lesson from moving up. Quantity is always better than quality,

Amazingly Atlanta has been able to fire GMs and executives to hold them accountable and possibly have hope to improve. Lucky them.

It's also funny that when people mention the all time biggest bust, Aundray Bruce is in the conversation, if not the first name mentioned.

Bruce played 11 years in the league. Yes, he was not especially productive, but he managed to have an 11 year career as an NFL player.

I disagree with this.

We had so many 7th rounders and UDFA up until recently, with this team, I think thats proven out. Consider then thread you are posting in as Lawrence looks on from his walking boot. Romo to Austin was the first time as UDFA threw a TD to an UDFA. The Packers can build through the draft, the Cowboys have their own special work around.

Maybe I'm becoming one of them "realists"! Oh, hell no.....

This made me think of the sci-fi short story turned in to a novel titled "Flowers for Algernon." It later became a film called Charlie.

To join the other side you might need an operation. Unfortunately they sometimes don't take.

Hang in there 5Stars...I'm not much impressed with design on style. If the rock wasn't first chunked, it wouldn't be thrown back. And then excused to personal likes. Some things are by design, an entertainment attempt...but like yourself, I don't include that with flagrant high ground based upon a set standard of negative comments. I may defend another soldier to the death...but I don't also have to listen to him in garrison as well. Sometimes, just not to be abusive myself...I'll just listen.

You're OK...and not everyone has an agenda that is unyielding on the score of what have you done for me lately. I believe in kids and dogs as well.
