When will we cut down our penalties? I am gonna keep it short and sweet and not get into the statistics but we all watched the game and saw how mnay huge calls came against us on 3rd down conversions which had to come back.

Well, I have two thoughts on this:

1. 3 of our holding penalties not only put us back 10 yards, but also negated large gains.
2. Depsite these penalties, Romo still converted several first downs after them.

It is for the most part a young team and in the Panthers house. What did you expect. I did think several of them were ticky tacky myself. Some were from crowd noise and some are just nerves. Lets see if they can cut down on penalties in late November and December. Thats when I expect every player to have a vet's concentration.

The one on the center when Romo was clearly rolled to his left was very frustrating... if that was a designed play then the center should know at the very least ... NOT TO HOLD, no?

I don't think the time of year should matter. A team is either disciplined or undisciplined in the area of penalties. For my money, these guys are the latter. They don't just get penalties but get them at the most back breaking times. It is very hard to win when you are getting 10 penalties in a game as Dallas did last night. That hey were able to win is impressive but you just can't keep doing it. You saw how good the Jimmy Johnson years were in terms of having very few penalties. This team needs to find something close to that type of discipline and it will help them immensely.

you know its amazing to me how they eagle-eye some of this stuff and totally miss some blatant things that other teams do...I cant recall for certain, but I am not sure if Gurode had a penalty all year until last night...I didnt see the chop block play so dont know if it really happened, but it really appeared to be phantom calls the two others

they called it pretty close against us, but I dont recall any holding calls on them and I saw Ware tackled at least twice
