You people are so sad its too funny.
People doubted him against Carolina, now they are doubting him against Washington.
When he beats Washington they will doubt him vs Arizona,
No matter what this kid does he will be doubted because he was undrafted.
He could lead us to the playoffs and people will say well Bledsoe could have done that. I dont see anything in this kid except a backup, BECAUSE he was an undrafted QB. Thats what people will say.
Wow! I hardly see anyone saying that about Romo.
In fact, there was a poll taken here after the NYG game but before Carolina and the vast majority (80%) thought Romo should be the starter.
And in a followup poll predicting our season record, at a time when we were 3-3, the majority (90%) again said Romo would maintain or improve (8-8 or better) that record over the remainder of the season.
If anything I think people are probably buying into Romo too much at this point because he truly is still young and unproven. Romo himself stated you don't know what you're going to get when you start someone at QB like that.
So while hopes are very high amongst the majority the "reservations" are very well founded.
Its those who have "no doubts" about Romo that are out to lunch. Romo is persuing a stellar career against all odds. Those odds won't dictate his fate. But history tells us they shouldn't be ignored either.
Romo has a ways to go before he becomes proven and a safe bet. Hopefully he will. Any reasonable Cowboy fan is pulling for him to do just that. But its ridiculous to chastise fans for not declaring him as having arrived after a single regular season start. Even if you're of the opinion that he's a sure thing you'd be a fool to declare others foolish for not making the same declaration because the truth is that the preponderance of evidence is on their side.
