do not buy any merchandise. email the communication dept of the organization and tell them you will not watch the games from here on out. boycott. boycott. boycott until Jerry hires the right man to run the organization. I don't care if he doesn't want to call him a GM...he can call him operations manager....How can we help the organization and team each day from here on out until the end of the season?
And I think the marketing dept has been talking to Jerry about this a lot lately. You don't wait until the cupboard is completely bare before you start restocking the shelves.Anyone thinking that diehard fans not buying Cowboys gear is going to have any impact on or send any kind of message to the team really does not understand how NFL teams make the bulk of their money.
While teams do make money on gear, especially the Cowboys with their unique non-NFL-sharing deal, the team makes a lot more money off of sponsorships, advertising, tv revenue sharing and stadium suite, seat and concession sales.
Even if everyone on CowboysZone stopped buying Cowboys gear for 2 years, the bulk of Cowboys fans would not (including many on CZ who say they would or have), so the Cowboys' ownership would not even notice.
If Cowboys fans stop going to the stadium, there are plenty of fans from the opponents' teams who will gladly travel to fill those seats (and they do).
Every year (except for 2020/covid of course, but that's an easy excuse) the valuation of the Cowboys goes higher and revenues continue to increase.
The TV networks love the Cowboys because they have a lot of fans but also because they have a lot of haters who love to watch them lose.
The ONLY way Jerry and company will ever get a message is if the Cowboys stop getting prime time or game of the week games or at least continue to get limited watch areas when they do get those time slots.
That happened recently as it was one of the few (or maybe first) times in recent years that the Cowboys got a 4:00pm EST game slot and were not seen by most of the country.
If/when that starts to happen more frequently, especially after this season, then the front office may start to realize they need to make some real changes.
Until then, every bad year is an excuse-laden year with the next season being "THE year" until it is not.
I wish that were not the case, but that is the reality (no pun intended) we live with as Cowboys fans.
I quit buying gear a few years back.
I am sure if enough fans did so, Jerry would notice.
Not sure that it would make a difference however
Right...And I think the marketing dept has been talking to Jerry about this a lot lately. You don't wait until the cupboard is completely bare before you start restocking the shelves.
Play a form of the quiet game. How can we help the organization and team each day from here on out until the end of the season?
I have no clue what you're suggesting I should do, but I'm on board.Play a form of the quiet game.
Never ever speak about Jerry or the coaching staff until they win a Super Bowl.
Torture Jerry by only posting informed opinions or actual facts about football and football players.
Ban all people from CZ that break the quiet games rules.
Spend time learning about the details of football such that I can pick you out of a crowd of Eagles fans if nobody is wearing team paraphernalia. Currently I can pick out most poster here from a group of Eagles fans.
Apparently back in the early nineties some Eagles fans switched over to rooting for the Cowboys. Then they had kids and grandkids. That spawned a huge group of morons that are all now Cowboys fans.
Since we know that descendants of Eagles fans don't have the intelligence to follow the quiet game rules, we flush them out and take measures to eliminate them.

8. Insist On Immediate Action, Not Promises
People with narcissistic personalities are good at making promises. They promise to do what you want and not to do that thing you hate. They promise to generally do better.
And they might even be sincere about these promises. But make no mistake about it: The promise is a means to an end for someone with a narcissistic personality.
Once they get what they want, the motivation is gone. You can’t count on their actions matching their words.
Ask for what you want and stand your ground. Insist that you’ll only fulfill their requests after they’ve fulfilled yours.
Don’t give in on this point. Consistency will help drive it home.
- Healthline, 10 Tips for Dealing with a Narcissistic Personality
There are two choices:
1. Continue the same decades old tried-and-fail methods or
2. Attempt a new course of action
Communication is the best way to influence a narcissist like Jerry Jones. First, identify who Jerry Jones voluntarily communicates with only a regular basis outside his comfort bubble. Discover who Jerry Jones listens to for input outside his inner circle. Express personal discontent concerning Jerry Jones GM stewardship only (do not deviate from this central theme) to members of the media. These are the voices Jerry Jones pays any attention. Keep hammering at these people until they regularly question Jones about his static, unchanging, stranglehold on his franchise's football operations.
Secondly, individuals can take personal responsibility when they are within Jones' vision and hearing. If anyone attends games inside or outside the stadium, they should make their voice heard. Chant "Jerry Jones Sucks as GM!" They should display physical expressions of discontentment with Jones as GM. Take signs with "Jerry Jones Sucks as GM!" and hold them clearly for Jones AND, more importantly, network cameras to see.
Creating real inner frustration within Jones is the key to moderating his life-long established selfish behavior. Shake up the man where it matters most: between... his... ears.

I see, you’re proud that we are #1 in revenue despite the results . Or do you just defend everything under the Star?
That or the media outlets lose interest in exposing his ridiculous comments.Hit Jerry in his pocket and things will change.

Right.. Jethro will never hang it up but we shouldn’t be rewarding him. It definitely sends the wrong message. That or the media outlets lose interest in exposing his ridiculous comments.
It's money and celebrity for him, as long as those are intact, he could care less what any of us think.
The funny part about this expecting him to change like some do here. Like he's going to wake up and realize that he really is what's holding his team back.
The other side to this is there seems to be this perception that with him out and another GM in, it all changes for the better. 3 GM's have been fired within this season already, ATL, DET and HOU, and others are on the chopping block.
