With some fish and chips and pot roast and maybe Yorkshire Pudding brought in fresh from Leeds? Now, that is a drink and meal fit for big landowners, Laddie. First wipe the soot from ye face, Lad before we enter the Olde Horseman's Castle.

I'm leaving the Rose and Crown right now !!!

i'll be honest. i've been looking for a way to get that into a subject line that wasn't political in nature. not been easy these days but i can still see the similarities. have we gone too far in garrett? romo? wittin? who's got enough years left to help correct this and when do you realize how far off you've gone?

for all you IGS's out there giggling as the chance to do the TL/DR - gotcha. now move along and shut up. i'm gonna keep writing for those who wish to read it now.

12-4. that's where we left this machine in motion. 1 bad call away from home, we felt. 1 bad call that is still debated, still denied, and still cried upon. "1 more inch" seems to be the story of dez's life. barely out of bounds against the giants long ago, barely out of bounds on another call and barely hits the ground, if it does. but that's how close we were and we knew, just knew next year would be our year.

we've come to the point where even math laughs at us and on one but garrett believes in it. the hardest part of all this is even teams we laugh at on a regular basis have found ways to win while we have found new ways to hurt. new insults and memes log facebook like a google ad for something you were stupid enough to search for online, reminding you over and over what you're missing.

we're 3 and something? 4 and something? (insert painful correction of my lazy recollection of our record here) and to be honest, i just quit counting. 3 weeks left is it? did i get something right? you'll have to forgive me, i seem to care as much as at least 1/2 of this team. not much anymore.

but i'm just a fan. i can get away with apathy towards a situation and come back strong tomorrow and full of believe that the miracle is about to start. but even i give up on that stance when i see the collective lack of effort we call the dallas cowboys these days. while i do say "collective" i certainly don't mean all. if i could cherry pick out someone who shows regardless the situation they are in the fight to the end, if not longer...

no more calls. we have our "never gives up" winner this year.

*btw, yes i gave up trying to make the IMG tag work. i suck...

i can't help but see larry allen here. the only thing missing today is the rest of the team. but how can a whole NFL team be so complacent? so lack of give a ****? WHO could let that happen? i only know of 1 person or role on the team where this should fall and while i've been a quiet supporter over the years hoping like others for the ghost of the landry style to come in vogue again, like others i've been let down in unimaginable ways only the truly pathetic teams can understand.

excuse me, cleveland, is this seat taken? could you please hide that damn win you still have manziel as your qb! wait...

even oakland has left us behind at this dance.

where do we go now though? i can go off and call out some players who we all know can't catch, run, tackle, or care. we've got a lot of people calling them out thread after thread after oh look, a brand new player bashing thread but to be just as honest, this is a team thing and singling out "bad" players is far too easy when trying to look for the good.

whitehead. he's got some game. jones. yea, we got it right there. lawrence? hey we overpaid at the time and the IGS has cut him more often than the groundscrew has cut the whitehouse lawn but anyone calling him out in a bad way these days? sunnofabch maybe it does take some time for players to come into their own. this will give me hope in gregory and hey, i'd like to see that green kid some this year along with moore.

we know what we have in qb and i think it's more than safe to say that position will get a lot of love in the offseason - which may as well be starting now. get in some *real* pre-season games for next year. let the kids play. put dez on a treadmill and have a throwing machine pummell him with footballs until he catches 2 in a row. that should keep him busy for a few hours. let cassel put his mad clipboard skills back to work and let's see what we have here.

lets see if we have another collins out there who knows he's in a bucket of NFL Poo but wants his shot to show he's better than what we see so far. *I* wanna see that. *THAT* gives me a reason to watch next week. not some futile attempt to show i passed 3rd grade math and use that as my bible.

we know we're in for some pretty massive changes and a few weeks ago the thought of red gone and maybe payton coming back home was just a pipe dream. yea, i guess it still is. but it's the season of dreams and telling santa what we want.

all i want for xmas is this team to have the desire it used to. to me, that takes a culture shift because a *winning* culture would never let a team be this bad. so put me down to see what our younger players have. except for street. seen it, move along. nothing to see here.

3 more games, is it? 4? can we just get back to a point where we as cowboys fans care?

come to think of it, the subject really doesn't fit after all. :)

TLDR but I gave you a like anyway because the thread title reminded me of that song by Golden Earring.

Wrong song, that's Radar Love. You should be referencing Twilight Zone.

i was following VTWin and his quote of golden earing - that is all and i will stand by my error as if it were intentional and continue to push my blame on him.

it's the american way.

i agree. you have to ride out choices to give the coach a chance to show *his* way is correct. 2-3 years when people say NOOOOOOOOOOooooo in a vader manner is too soon, to me. but at this point we have 1 good year in 5. the way the team is handling itself as a team i think is a reflection on him and it's not good.

they all have a well if we lose, its ok , because we can just watch the tape and get better.
Problem is after 5 years of tape watching , they haven't gotten better , they have gotten worse.

Is that not from the song "Radar Love" ??

put dez on a treadmill and have a throwing machine pummell him with footballs until he catches 2 in a row......... yes lol good one,
and he can be balls out doing that.
get in some *real* pre-season games for next year. let the kids play....... this is what they should do, mix in some guys like moore ,butler, street,
and see what they can do in whole games.
In fairness street has not done good, but when you only get a play here and there it is hard to be all you can be.
Also play turbin as the # 1, and spell him with Rod, and let McF rest up.
It is a perfect time to evaluate certain players.

And continuing to play cassel is just insane, he has been evaluated and if they want to keep him, he as a whole year to get
ready for next year.

I blame Canada. Somehow, they're always at fault for everything.

Nope. Twilight Zone, by Golden Earring

"Somewhere in a lonely hotel room, there's a guy starting to realized that eternal fate has turned his back on him. It's 2 am"

(sounds like it could be JJ)

Yes..and that is a great song.
And I am sure some want this to be Jerry...and when the bullet hits the bone....

Meaning hoping this season hits Jerry hard to make some changes...not the more violent meaning...lol...
