So we are predicted to finish last in the NFC East?

Nate Silver needs to stick to politics only.

He was originally a baseball guy. Having said that, I don't notice too many people making money off silver's football predictions.

Thought they have it close:
Chance to win the division:
Commanders 29%
Eagles 27%
Giants 25%
Cowboys 19%

Their simulation has Dallas finishing at 7-9.

"The Dallas Cowboys should also benefit from soft scheduling — Elo ranks their slate eighth-easiest in the NFL — but Tony Romo’s preseason injurymight negate that edge. The Cowboys have been here before, pressing inadequate QBs into action with Romo on the sidelines. This time, they’re rolling with Dak Prescott, one of the lowest-drafted Week 1 rookie starters in NFL history. (The alternative is accomplished butt-fumbler Mark Sanchez.) And even if Dallas does somehow improve on last year’s dismal showingthrough the air, the team has holes on defense that were only partially addressed in the offseason. No. 4 overall draft pick Ezekiel Elliott may instantly run wild behind the Cowboys’ tremendous offensive line, but without Romo, the team may win even fewer than the seven games Elo projects for it."

I'm hoping they're right about Clinton and wrong about the Cowboys!

Please. No way should Philly be ahead of us in any biased world.

Elections are different than football games because you have polls indicating how people intend to vote. There are far fewer variables.

Good...Good (Evil Bug)
That encapsulates the feeling I get when I read these articles exactly. It makes the disappointment from all G/E/R fans all the more sweet. The best part? They'll pour doubt on it for at least half the year...it'll be like being hooked up to slow drip novacaine for the soul...

What's even more interesting than the ranking, really, is that his numbers assert WAS winning the division with a 8-8 record, maybe. Or, maybe they don't, because NYG and PHI are on the fence, possibly getting to 8-8 themselves and invoking a tiebreaker. Then... hard to count us out at a projected 7-9, one game out of perhaps the league's first-ever 4-way tie for first AND last place (... somebody can look that up, but I'm purtysure that would be correct).
