And what are you suggesting this proves? I'll tell you what it proves to me. It proves that people don't pay attention. The 49ers did that deal with Garoppolo because they had cap to spend in the short term and they had zero at QB. They needed somebody to put a good spin on the entire Kaepernick debacle and Garoppolo was it but seriously look at his contract. Look at what it actually is. Hell, I'd sign Dak to that deal today if he would take it because it was essentially a two year deal. After this season, the 49ers could easily be out of that deal. After 2019, the 49ers have Jimmy G in a deal that they can walk away from. I guess what I am trying to say is that even though the deal is reported as a 5 yr, 137 mil deal with an annual of 27.5, it's really not unless the 9ers decide to keep it that way. It's not a 30 mil deal for an average QB. It's basically a 28 mil annual for two years. I mean, I'd sign Dak to that right now. You gotta pay attention to what these guys are actually signing, in terms of contracts and then look at it from the stand point of what the real market is. Average guys aren't getting long term 30 plus million dollar deals. That's not happening. Even Wentz's deal is not a long term 30 mil plus deal. I know it's reported that way and I know everybody wants to look at it that way but it's really not. This whole thing reminds me of the Murray deal years ago. Philly offered Murray a contract that wasn't really as good as the one the Cowboys offered, long term but the money looked bigger. The truth is that the contract was short lived and the idea was to get Murray out of Dallas and that's exactly what happened. This Wentz deal is similar in that it's reported as a 30 plus deal and in reality, it's really an extension that bumps Wentz to 26/27 for 6 years annually. We, as fans gotta be smarter then that. We are allowing teams like Philly to mess with us because our fan base isn't smart enough to get what's right in front of our faces at times.

Jerry is generous to a fault. If he's making an offer to Dak, it's more then fair, I would bet my house on that. Jerry is not a guy who low balls his stars, especially the starting QB.

Anyway, that's my opinion on it. Have a great weekend Omer.

Yeah, it's me who just doesn't get it. Not the guy who is trying to make some reference to a Ralph Macchio movie. Perhaps in your next response you can go with the "shine on, shine off" quote. Yeah, I don't get. Certainly it's not the guy quoting a version of a movie from the early 80s because he thinks it might be cool, sort of.

You were better with the "Lets Review" BS.

    Really?

Dez was a beast, sad he never recovered from injuries. What a group of receivers if Cooper worked with Dez on route running and got some of his attitude.

I’m good. If you’re getting this triggered over my “Outsiders” reference then I’ve certainly seen enough.

On the contrary, it's Friday and you appear to be entertaining. But I mean, if it takes you telling yourself some little story to get you to continue on, by all means, do that.

I'm hoping you are planning to do Grease next. Do you know the beauty school drop out song? I'm hoping for that one.

I'm pretty good at math. But I can't work out how there are only 4 average qbs in the NFL?

She had it going on back in the day. On occasion, I tell myself that I did too as a young man but the truth is, I'm probably lucky the Wife took pity on me and made an honest man out of me.

Every deal has a limit on the amount that is guaranteed. That’s not unique to Garappolo’s deal. If, for example, Dak signs a 5 year deal at $30 MM/year he wont be guaranteed $150 MM, so why treat it as if somehow it would be that way for Dak even though it isn’t for others?

The fact is $30 + million is rapidly becoming a normal figure for a quality NFL QB. Note I said quality, not elite. That’s just the market. It’s supply and demand and works just like the real estate market or commodities markets. If a team won’t pay the price it takes to have a quality QB it will have to settle for Brock Osweiler or Case Keenum or Ryan Tannehill or gamble on a rookie or unproven vet.

Yes we can all confirm. You are the one that doesn't get it.

It's been like that for months despite many trying to educate you.

According to NFL.com, Dak was rated the 18th best QB in the league until the last couple of games when he was able to bring his ratings up to 16th. He struggles in many games to pass for over 200 yards and IIRC, he has only passed for over 300 yards in 4-5 times in his while career. I think the ratings are realistic and accurate when he was rated 18th. Dak is massively overrated by the Cowboys fan base . Any other QB in the league that struggles to pass for 200 yards a game would be laughed out of the league, but Dak plays for the Cowboys, so he is embraced and compared to Brady by Cowboy fans.

So throwing 1-2 successful back shoulder fades in his entire career makes him a competent QB at throwing that pass? Dak doesn’t have the accuracy or touch to throw back shoulder passes at an acceptable level.
