Where's Crawford?? I'm more worried about where's Rolondo?? We need this guy bad. Is he practicing this week or what? I read all the tweets and never saw his name. How does a MLB playing against his former team not make one play??

I'm one of the minority here on crawford. I think it's more hope than reality with him. He has never shown anything to have so much hype and now coming of a complete missed year? Sorry but I don't buy he's going to be some beast some say. I'm waiting to see something first.

Saw this comment from Eatman on DC.Com from earlier this afternoon.

Rolando McClain The former Raiders linebacker probably had his best practice of camp as well. Playing mostly with No. 2 defense in the middle, McClain showed more than just awareness in the middle. He was powerful at the point of attack with ball-carriers and pushed the pocket well on blitzes. It seemed like one of those “light bulb-coming-on” type of days for him.

He's another one people say is hyped when the reality is the general expectations are no higher than him developing into a capable starter for us.

Because Jason Hatcher and Tony said good things about him, he gets labeled as "hyped." That alone can make him a target for fans.

He had a promising rookie season, came on strong in OTAs the next year, then got hurt. The only reason he hasn't shown anything more is because he's literally not had the opportunity to demonstrate much since then.

Wait.

That one preseason game and couple weeks training camp time isn't enough to draw a concrete conclusion about a player?

I for one am dumbfounded, astonished and down right appalled that you'd have the audacity to ask for me to show a bit of patience.

I agree. He hasn't had the chance to show anything that's why I'm waiting to see. I'm not going to get hopes up on a player I haven't seen play since his rookie year. I hope he does well but I'm not going to expect anything from him.

Players can practice all they want. But it's what they do on the games that count and crawford hasn't done anything in the games.

why do coaches say you play like you practice
hell you may be right I havn't even seen the games
only going by the reports

They reported that one of the early plays the 1st day against the Raiders was R. McClain making an impressive stop against their RB.

I think they said that he practiced for 3 straight days, maybe more.

Crawford and Melton are the only guys that have won in drills against Zach Martin. Martin has dominated everybody else and I think Crawford has won more than Melton.

Ok doesn't mean anything
We have a terrible DL that only 2 can beat a rookie. Just because Crawford does good vs a rookie doesn't prove anything. My verdict is open until he does it in a game.

Crawford may be a player along the lines of Marcus Spears, solid not spectacular.

Martin dominated all Raiders.

The answer is simple...in Service, one trained as if it were live. That applies to football as well. Unless the player is a fool.
