It is interesting about the Eagles media coverage. Remember the "Dream Team", and then the bust. Even this year people were taking the Eagles seriously with Sanchez at the QB position. He did OK for a while and then was exposed, just an average NFL QB, not a franchise QB. I do not follow the NFC like I follow the AFC, but know enough from watching NFL network to hear the "noise" about the Eagles. Come on, seriously?? I never even considered them as a team going to the dance with Sanchez at the helm. But then again, I saw enough of him when he played with the Jets.
The media is another story -- I don't pay to much attention to what is said on a week to week basis. A season is exactly that, not a one game look. We have seen some pretty wild variances, more so than any year that I can think of. Blown out, then blow someone else out. Guess parity is somewhat working, and why I would never even begin to pick a SB winner. But the other thing that bothers me is the media paying attention to somebody that has done squat. This Johnny Manziel thing really was getting ridiculous. Why is this guy being given so much attention?? At least that will end with him being injured - not that I wish that on anyone. Whew. Enough already.
Heading toward the playoffs, my thoughts on who might be at the dance.
AFC
Patriots
Broncos
Bengals
Colts
Steelers - hate to say that because they are one of two of my least favorite teams, but they head the list of "disliked".
NFC
Packers
Cowboys
Seahawks
Lions - the other team I really dislike, they play to hurt. I almost did not put them on this list because they are at the bottom of the 4 I picked. But who knows??
Next week when the season ends we will all have a better idea of where things are headed with the seeding and home field advantages are known. I think the NFC is harder to predict. Would not want to bet on the outcome there until after next week.
