Ultimately, no one cares about a franchise who's never done anything of meaning. No one cares about Philthy, everyone cares about the Cowboys.

Hopefully those who have said the Cowboys are "irrelevant" will actually figure out that we're actually the most relevant team in the NFL. More people care about the Cowboys than any other team in the league.

The Cowboys will always draw more national attention than the Eagles, simply by merit of their popularity and relevance on something far more than mostly a regional level. We draw more attention, period, whether it's on the basis of good publicity or public mockery. That's the way it goes when a team is a media favorite. Better get used to it, for better or worse. It's not likely to change anytime soon.

Wait until tomorrow, then see if they get ripped. Right now, we won the east, and sent them home for the year.
That's all I need to know for now. If they get ripped they do, if not, then so be it.

We all can rip them enough later on.

They don't have the star on their helmets. They don't have a qb everyone loves to make fun of. Oh wait...

Bingo! You nailed it. They aren't the Cowboys, scruntiny is only for us AMERICAS TEAM. Sad but true.

Yeah, people definitely mean the national media. In some small corner of the world, today's Buffalo Bills outcome actually mattered to someone and some newspaperman. ;)

A very small corner of the world, maybe one newspaper

Hmm, I never give Romo a pass? You are completely wrong, find one post by me blaming him for anything. Guess what? You won't! I don't like Garrett and that is all.

I think you have me mixed up with someone else......................

Add: Ok, you are referring to Sanders, I hope :)

Yes I was talking about Deion not you. Carry on :)

Do they get a free pass because of Sanchez playing?

Pretty sure if it was reversed and Dallas blew out Philly to go to 9-3 and was staring at a 1 seed, then loses its next 3 straight, 2 being at home, and eliminated from the playoffs all in 3 weeks, media would rip this team apart. And talk about our Decembers.

Just wondering why we are the only ones who ever got this treatment? Teams fall apart every single year. But they just gloss over it.

Feels great to be on that other side this year! 3-0 in December and really, we dominated every game. I know the scores of the Eagles/Bears games were close but we dominated them if you watched.

I just thought there would be more scrutiny to the Eagles. Can't stand that team or Chip Kelly.

Its only local to Philly. It won't be ESPN headlines because it will not draw ratings

It's no secret that ESPN simply will not take the Eagles to task. It just never happens. So many Eagles fans or former Eagles players there.

Peter King had a "Chip Kelly Wisdom of the Week" every Monday in his MMQB column on SI.com. Today, he said he would do it no longer due to the way Philly played the last few weeks. So, at least King turned on him.

You have to be relevant to get scrutiny. See the Saints as another example. No one cares when they lose outside of their small market.

I think that's what it is as much as anything. Well that and the Cowboys almost always = ratings, so it kinda makes sense to find ways to talk about them. Same still goes for the Yankees and Lakers.

They are probably in a staff meeting having a pity party.
And discussing how they can spin the Eagles woes as a positive, while down playing the Cowboys success so far. :)

We've already seen a preview of how the media is treating the Cowboys success...particularly in the draft...according to them it was 'luck.'

It is interesting about the Eagles media coverage. Remember the "Dream Team", and then the bust. Even this year people were taking the Eagles seriously with Sanchez at the QB position. He did OK for a while and then was exposed, just an average NFL QB, not a franchise QB. I do not follow the NFC like I follow the AFC, but know enough from watching NFL network to hear the "noise" about the Eagles. Come on, seriously?? I never even considered them as a team going to the dance with Sanchez at the helm. But then again, I saw enough of him when he played with the Jets.

The media is another story -- I don't pay to much attention to what is said on a week to week basis. A season is exactly that, not a one game look. We have seen some pretty wild variances, more so than any year that I can think of. Blown out, then blow someone else out. Guess parity is somewhat working, and why I would never even begin to pick a SB winner. But the other thing that bothers me is the media paying attention to somebody that has done squat. This Johnny Manziel thing really was getting ridiculous. Why is this guy being given so much attention?? At least that will end with him being injured - not that I wish that on anyone. Whew. Enough already.

Heading toward the playoffs, my thoughts on who might be at the dance.

AFC

Patriots
Broncos
Bengals
Colts
Steelers - hate to say that because they are one of two of my least favorite teams, but they head the list of "disliked".

NFC

Packers
Cowboys
Seahawks
Lions - the other team I really dislike, they play to hurt. I almost did not put them on this list because they are at the bottom of the 4 I picked. But who knows??

Next week when the season ends we will all have a better idea of where things are headed with the seeding and home field advantages are known. I think the NFC is harder to predict. Would not want to bet on the outcome there until after next week.

They are too busy talking about the Cowboys December meltdown and the runnning game is what has gotten Dallas to this point. Anything to keep from giving Dallas, Tony, Jason and Jerry the credit they deserve. It pains me to hear the NFLN crew (minus The Playmaker) give "the running game" all the credit for our success.

Cowboys fans worry WAAAAAAYYYY too much about what the media does or does not say about other teams compared to the Cowboys.

But maybe that is just me.

The Eagles are irrelevant, no one cares about them now.

They have never really been relevant.

There has, at times, been a concerted effort to make it seem like they are relevant.

But they haven't been.
