Where to write if the HOF voters screw us again

I'm getting my email outbox warmed up for another Cowboys snub.

I remember our previous big letter campaigns the years they left Cowboys out of the HOF and we got several good responses. Some of the media had the sack to respond, and we found out who the good guys were.

I have three sources for HOF voter contact info. Any official word on which list is correct would be greatly appreciated. I know some of my emails were sent back last year but most made it through.

This is the thread last year that listed some contact info:

This is what NFL.Com's website says about the voters, but it has different names than the above link so I'm not sure if they updated it recently. (or if the above one has out of date contacts)

And here is some contact info I found at a Vikings site where they do their own lobbying:

http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Loge/4705/hof2.html

The names at that site are also different that the previous 2 links. If you go to the Geocities Vikings site, there are email links to all listed voters.

Does anyone have the official list of Hall of Fame voters? Should we assume the Pro Football Hall of Fame site is updated?

Also, one more link, here's a thread I wrote a year ago that tried to figure out who voted for and against us based on their email responses to forum members:

http://dallascowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18831&highlight=hall+fame+voters

Maybe we can get a better idea as to who the haters are after another letter campaign this year.

Cool - I will take the time to copy/paste this to Word and save it. Then I will find 1 day where I dont have anything to do. Then I will let these guys know what this Cowboys fan thinks of them and their voting ways and obvious bias. Even if all three get in this year, that wont make up for the ones that wont get in that deserve to be there.

Edit: Done. Sitting in the botton right corner of my desktop, waiting for the voters to screw up one more time.

letter writing doesn't get the job done- if you really want to sock it to them mobilize every Cowboy fan you know to boycott the entire league for a year- buy nothing related to the NFL/cancel direct tv, don't buy newspapers, don't follow the sport at all- I think you'd see some significant ratings and revenue decreases.

Its not the NFL that votes, iots the writers, you would have to boycott every newpaper they write for, station they speak on and TV affiliate they appear on.

Writing wont change the vote. But writing will let your opinion be heard, and surprisingly I have seen more then one voter respond to a negitive, nicely worded themed letter. Course, cursing and name calling and your letter goes right to the trash.

But I will boycott the HOF and let anyone that asks why know. I will, also, send a letter toany voter I can verify voted no and ask him his personal/professional reasons why he voted the way he did.

Unless you mean to have the NFL change the process it uses for HOF selection. Make it all former players/coaches only that select em. That would be fair.

That's doable. In fact, that's pretty much what I'm saying to do. I can pull for Hall of Fame Racing in NASCAR and not lose one bit of sleep over the NFL. I'm sorry, but I'm a fan of the Dallas Cowboys not the NFL- if the Cowboys did not exist I would never watch professional football and if the great players from the team's history are constantly slighted I see no reason to keep watching it. I've watched about 1 hour of the playoffs this year- that only to see Washington lose, and it hasn't affected me negatively at all.

its doable, but your boycotting the wrong entity. The NFL ofices and officials are nto responsible for selection of HOF members. WHy boycott them and miss out on some damn good football. The HOF is a seperate Entity from the NFL. They do not run it or even own it. It is licensesd with the NFL.

Just go to the newspapers offices in your local town and punch the writer that voted in the face and then watch the games (from your jail cell ofcourse). You will feel better. :lmao2: :lmao2:

(PS. This is not me telling you to do this, and I accept no responsibility for anyones actions. If you do this, you did it all by yourself and you will leave me out if it when talking to the cops.)

I am not sure letter writing campaign really serves the purpose that much. From what Rick Gosselin was commenting, it only turns off the writers even more against Cowboys players.

Especially ones really abusing the players or throwing bunch of stats. Now having a good argument for the player is a different scenario. I really urge people not to get too over excited and start putting together letters to start bashing the voters there. Because more likely, its only 8 - 9 of them that would be culprits.

Untill they start making voting public, like Rick Gosselin, Peter King etc. want to do, we will never know who are the silent assasins, as Paul Zimmerman says they are.

Well, it certainly doesn't do any good either just staying silent while they screw us over year after year after year. Ya dig? ;)

I AM THE VOTER FROM SAN FRANCISCO. I NEVER MADE SUCH A STATEMENT AND IN FACT, VOTED FOR IRVIN LAST YEAR AND VOTED FOR WRIGHT IN THE SENIORS COMMITTEE AND EXPECT TO VOTE FOR HIM AGAIN TOMORROW. SOME PEOPLE NEED TO CHECK THEIR FACTS.
Hope that helps you, maybe if we let them know something is going on, and their being watched, if there is bias towards dallas cowboy players, it will stop. joe

This effort is going to only piss the writers off.

Those that already voted pro.
And those that didn't are going to get more PO'd and continue to vote no.

One thing I wonder is why there are three Washington area voters on the list. No other place is represented by more than one, excepting NYC because of two teams. I wonder why that is.

I'm the exact same way. If the Cowboys did not exist I wouldnt be wasting my time watching Football, that's just me being honest.

Dont get me wrong I'll still like Football, but I wouldnt care who wins or what happnes. In a sence of the matter the NFL to me would be just another ESPN highlight lol.

PUT Michael irvin in the HOF you Bias pigs:mad:

First, Woody Paige no longer works for the Denver paper. He said on Cold Pizza he had to give up his voting privileges when he moved to New York City.

Second, why would posters want to organize a protest campaign after the Cowboys got two members inducted into the Hall of Fame?

No team has received more than two players in the same nominating class. We got Aikman and Wright in. I say that's pretty good.

And regardless what you feel about Irvin and whether voters should allow subjective opinions about his off-field conduct impact their selection, Irvin did this to himself. He has to bare the responsibility/consequences of his actions.

That's life. We may not like it, but it is what it is.

Because we are under represented. Even after 2 of our own got in today.

Bottom line........It is still the hall of shame.

So did you initiate a letter-writing campaign last year?

Who are the other Cowboys you think should get in?

And how many of them do you think will get in in the same class, given the fact that there are many teams that can argue their "stars" have been slighted?

I believe there's a Cowboys bias too. But complaining about it this year is self-defeating. You'll just come off as whiners and piss off writers even more, giving yourselves another reason to organize a letter-writing campaign next year.
