Where was T. Choice?

Man I sure would like to see Choice get some time late in games like last night to spell Barber... I know "The Barbarian" was a little tired during the drive they started mid 4th quarter... and he was already near 140 yards. Barber of course fumbled near the 10 yard line and looked pretty POd on the sideline after that.

I hope Garrett does not try to completely gas him every game with 30 carries per... I know he might not feel the same way, and I know he can take it because he is a physical beast, but I just think it would have been a perfect opportunity to play a fresh legged Tashard Choice, who I think has a pretty passionate bit of running ability himself.

This will be one special season if Dallas can rush like that with regularity. What a plethora of offensive weapons!!!

would have been cool to see him lug a couple of carries in the 4th when the game was out of reach... Dallas might have scored on that last drive to make it 34-9 instead of giving up a late TD due to Barber being tired and fumbling away that last scoring threat.

I would disagree if Barber hadn't shown signs of wear on that late drive where he fumbled. That was the perfect time to put Choice in there. Oh well, the coaching staff is learning as we go just like the players. This team is not hitting on all cylinders yet. I look forward to improvement and continued success.

Barber being tired had nothing to do with that fumble. The defender just knocked it out but I do agree that it would be nice to see Choice get some more carries.

Yeah, if he was fresh then all is cool. I agree with you all the way. Barber did look a little gassed on that drive... Hope Garrett plays to the offenses' ultimate strength, which is fresh quality personnel, and not just to the stardom that we are witness to presently.

Wow, the improvement over what we've already been witness to should be out of sight... Great things to come BMC

He played Special teams. He's not going to get a whole lot of carries unless we're in a situation like we were in Cleveland. The carries, otherwise, are going to be handed to Barber and Jones.

I disagree. I don't think Barber gets driven laterally that long without turning and carrying that Packer DB a few yards northbound. However it would have been hard to do since he was tired. Just my take on it. I agree it was a good swat tho.

The situation was well like the one in Cleveland with Dallas leading 27-9 mid 4th quarter and Dallas knocking on the door to darn near make it 34-9.

Anyway, by saying all that, I think Dallas needs to use that 3 headed rushing attack like NYG uses theirs... Jacobs, Bradshaw, and Ward... all are pretty capable.

No doubt our superstars are Barber and Felix J. but I just wish Choice could have helped last night... Oh well, I'm sure he'll get his no doubt...

Helluva offense!!

Barber likely had a chip on his shoulder b/c he fumbled and wanted to go back out there. A guy like Barber likely doesn't say much so when he asks to go back out, you have to let him.

Madden mentioned the same thing. Frighteningly enough, I'm inclined to agree.

He was fuming on the sidelines when the cameras panned down to him after the fumble

He's one tough RB for sure... I guess I can see that side of the situation.

Remember when Dallas got blown out at home by the Saints a couple of years ago? Julius got that ~70 yd run for a TD and he was going absolutely berzerk after his run... bumping, high fiving, and hollering. He did jack squat after that. Of course there weren't many opportunities due to not having the ball much after that, but yeah I agree. No nalgas for JJo to spear, nothing doing then.

I think a couple things happened that made the coaches decide not to put Choice in for Barber.

1. Barber was on fire and they wanted to see just how many times they could give him the pigskin. Remember, this is really his first season as a starter and they need to guage how much gas he has daily, which will be useful info down the line.

2. They didn't want to mess with Barber who deserved to keep the ball (which he likely always will want to, based on his attitude and at this stage of his career). They figured he earned right to decide if he wanted to keep lugging it. Once he fumbled he wanted to come in and redeem himself. This is type of coaching staff we have, very accomodating, softer stuff. Parcell's would have yanked him, to protect him. Right or wrong.

Choice will get those carries later in year (and I think Choice should as he's earned a few with his effort and play also).

For now I really think this team is feeling things out for the future, and I think it's a nice luxury to have.

I think it was also barber wanting to be out there. And everyone was tired at the end. But he was no way near done, however we should rest him. It was nice to see him surpass julius tho lol. :D

I understand that letting MBIII get his stats may be important to him and the coaching staff. But still, Choice should get one of Barber's series in the 3rd quarter or early 4th, if Barber has been heavily used prior in the game. I want Barber to be relatively fresh to come in and close out the last 5 or 6 minutes of a game. Of course if he ASKS to go back in, I think you have to do that.
