ON the game winning TD, the officials blew an easy obvious excessive celebration.

Holmes used the ball as a prop.

It should have been excessive celebration using the ball as a prop.

That penalty would have been enforced on the kickoff.

The kickoff would have been from the 20 instead of the 35, If you add 15 yards to arringtons run he is almost to midfield and they had 2 timeouts.

Earlier in the game when fitzgerald scored his first TD, u can see the officials watching fitzgerald like a hawk as he ran back to his sideline.

Yet no penalty on Holmes?

I never believed in the steelers get all the calls mumbo jumbo till now. That was flat out ridiculous.

and how exactly do you not review the warner fumble?

Looks pretty bad for the nfl.

throw in the fact that ward and harrison threw punches with fists and didnt get ejected, pretty absurd.

Exactly. There is a double standard in the NFL. T.O. would be villified for doing that

Yea i saw that too.

it was clear as day. The officials are hyper about those calls.

It just stinks something awful to me that they conveniently miss that, when you know that penalty is enforced on the kickoff.

if 15 yards were ever important, those were.

They should never call excessive celebration again on anyone.

I saw it as well. When they showed the replay of that touchdown, I screamed out that should be a penalty.

Yep, I hate owens with a passion. But had he caught that and then used the ball as a prop like holmes it would have been a flag.

and if the cardinals had the ball at the 50 with two timeouts they could have scored.

It was a pretty blatantly obvious and horribly missed call.

Now everyone is seeing what I said a while ago. The r****** isn't bad. It's just biased, and games are called to favor certain teams, and not others.

Well who would like it if some chump who can't get to the Superbowl on his own runs on the field and celebrates? ;)

I didn't record the game, but my best friend did. He claims that Holmes celebrated the TD on the sidelines. If the celebration occurs off the field, does that negate the penalty? Or did he actually celebrate on the field?

He used the football as a prob also, we could go all night with the examples of the bad calls and how the refs helped Stealers.

Hey I was convinced of the refs favoring the stealers since the immaculate non reception let alone the 1st SB with Dallas

Here are the pics, clearly using the ball as a prop, clearly in the endzone, clearly celebrating.

and clearly the official assigned to watch for this ignored it....Really bad for the nfl and great job to show us this in a replay.

now compare the officials reaction to the holmes TD, to the way the same official was watching fitzgerald run back to the sideline, he is just waiting for fitz to do something for him to throw a flag.

something really stinks here.

Its a huge difference. And who wins has nothing to do with the fact that an obvious call was missed in a crucial moment of the most important game of the year.

and when this penalty is a point of emphasis each week, why was it not called?

and we dont know he wouldnt have returned it further? But with two timeouts, even it came down to a hail mary it would have been a 45 yard or less throw.

it matters man.

I do not have the answer to your questions. Neither does anybody else here.

What I am saying is there is no use complaining about it because there is no changing it. It is like yelling at the ref in basketball about getting called for travel, only thing your going to do is get a technical, they are not going to reverse it.
