One thing keeps bothering me with regard to the Cowboys' and Terrell Owens' offensive struggles.
Where is the quick slant pass?
It had been a staple of the Cowboys in the past and one of Owens' most successful routes in both San Francisco and Philadelphia.
It is a play which plays to Dallas' strengths and minimizes weaknesses. It allows Owens to use his size and strength and lets Bledsoe throw quickly to avoid pressure.
It would have helped the Cowboys get Owens involved earlier and calmed down the Eagles blitz.
Even marginally successful, it would give the Cowboys a 5-10 yard completion.
At best, it could allow Owens to run through an attempted tackle and possibly more.
I think it's a win-win play and has to be utilized by the Cowboys' offense.
