Parcells earlier said he would keep 6 CBs and, if he keeps to that, both will get in. Only problem is I think we will also keep 8 DL and maybe same number of LBs. With 4 Ss and 6 CBs, that's a lot of D guys -- 26. How many guys we keep on D affects who we keep on O (OL - 10, QB -3, TE -4, WR - 5, RB 4, FB -1) makes 27 we we still need room for Robinson, McBrair (sp ?) and either Cortez or the new kid we picked up. Makes 56 by my count -- 3 of them have to go and I don't want to sacrifice a guy with potential like maybe Johnson to keep Carson but it might come down to that (unless we can get Johnson safely to PS). In an ideal world where other teams couldn' get their hands on them, we could place Thompson, Johnson and one of the young guys on PS. BTW: I hear they increased size of PS to 7; I sure wish they could have opted to make 1-3 of those slots untouchables to other teams. Also Parcells has mentioned Reggie Love (young player recommended by FOB who saw this guy play (given a tryout by Packers at WR earlier this year) in HS/college and believed he had potential as LB not at WR). If he has shown enough, Parcells might put him on PS for development. He's 6-4, 224 so he could really benefit from Cowboys weight/condition training & maybe down the road be the big OLB Parcells wants opposite Ware. Love's apparently very athletic. BTW: Ogbogu is listed at LB and he's 6-4, 269. He can play both DL & LB; maybe slotted as a LB (although also playing DL) is where there will be room for him.
