Excluding guys we drafted.
This one is easy for me. George Pickens is the obvious answer.
Pickens was a second round pick.

Sounds good to me, maybe it just goes to show how bad things really were last season. People said "he was here" ok but he wasn't the head coachCulture
That is getting old.
And is overblown.
How about the changes are for the good of the team. Period.
That does not matter to the 2nd team that signed them cheap. My definition of a bust is a high round draft pick who didn’t live up to their draft status, resulting in them being released or allowed to walk after their rookie contract. Some have gone on to contribute and be serviceable, but never as good as some thought they would be. There’s a reason they’re having to sign cheap one year prove it deals. If they weren’t busts and their original team couldn’t afford them, they would be signing lucrative multi year free agent deals.
Of course it doesn’t matter to the second team that signed them cheap. They’re not the ones that invested a premium draft pick on them and had high expectations for them. Any player you get on the cheap that performs admirably is going to be a fan favorite. The players the fans jump on are the ones you invest a premium draft pick on like Taco and Mazi and don’t perform up to expectations. High priced free agents that don’t perform at a high level receive fan ridicule. That does not matter to the 2nd team that signed them cheap.
If an undrafted free agent had performed.for the Cowboys like Dante Fowler did previously, that udfa would be a fan favorite.
