Which Playoff Team Did You Have More Confidence In Going Into the Playoffs?

2007, 2014 or 2016?

Won't include 2006 and 2009 because don't think those teams stood any chance at all.

I think I am the most confidence in this team than the other two for a few reasons. In 2007, we lost 2 of our last 3. TO and Glenn were injured. They played but were not even close to what they were. The last month of the season was very meh.

2014 was a very strong finish of winning our last 4 and in dominating fashion. And was a very good team. Tiebreakers were the only reason we didn't get a top seed. But with that, I didn't have a lot of confidence we could win 2 road games in a row in GB and Sea after having to beat Detroit to get to the Super Bowl. If we were a top seed like this year, I think I would have been a lot more confident.

I think we have everything we need this year. A QB who just doesn't make mistakes and cost us wins. A workhorse RB that is the best in the league. A really good group of receivers and Witten. The best OL in the league. A defense that has been playing great this last month and all year, have made the stops and plays we need. And we are as healthy as you can be at this time of the year.

We are also getting more and more healthy on defense. We got Gregory back. Mo will be back. Lawrence has a chance.

2007 but could tell the injuries hampered us and Parcells was too conservative with Romo.

2016 for me. Loved that 2007 team, but they peaked too early and had injuries. This team has a dynamic RB. The defense has also had 16 sacks and 10 TO's in the past 5 games. Zeke and Dak are young and talented and allow the team to play loose.

We were 8-0 on the road during the regular season and were averaging close to 40ppg in December. Romo was also waaaay better in 2014 than 2007.
Its a travesty we didnt advance to the NFCCG :(

Yep. I get giddy thinking about what this team will be when they spend more resources on defense along with the young offensive players getting more acclimated to the pro game. Could be scary good.

All this was true but winning on the road in the regular season and in the playoffs is totally different. I didn't see this team winning back to back games on the road in GB and Seattle in January.

I think the defense this year is better than that years, too.

I thought we had a good chance to make it to the SB in '07 but doubted we could beat the Pats. 2014 we didn't have a good defense but came very close to getting to the NFCC game. Our offense this year is definitely our strength but I think our D is better than '14 even though it's still our weakness.

Having home field gives us a good chance to get to the SB this yr but GB/Giants winner will be tough and so would Atlanta. I love Dak and am firmly in his corner but I still have reservations about him being a rookie and leading us to the promised land. If we get there I don't have a lot of confidence we'd beat the Pats, if thats the matchup, but I'm anxious to watch the journey. In reality, I think we're going to have to have a much better defense to win it all though.

Actually, I had more confidence in the 2007 team to get to the Super Bowl but not beat the Patriots. I thought the defense was better. I didn't have confidence in the 2014 defense.
The 2016 team's defense is a little better than 2014. I don't know if it's better than the 2007 defense.
But I think the X factor for the 2016 team is the rookies and the leadership of Witten and Lee. I think they'll - particularly Witten - will remind this team that these opportunities don't come very often. I think they'll be dialed in and ready to claim at the least an NFC Championship and possibly more.
At least I hope.
