There has been alot of debate on here about what round in the draft we should take what position. Lets see what your "order of importance" is. I'm talking about day 1 picks here. Lets assume there is equal talent left at every postion. Here's mine.............

Round 1. OT
Round 2. OG
Round 3 . LB

On another note.....Cowboyfan4lifemark, I tried to PM you back several times, and for whatever reason, I can't get it to work.

OT might not even be addressed in this draft if so it certainly won't be round 1. Chance of OLB being #1 pick: 95%.

1) OLB
2) BPA with an emphasis on OG/OT/FS/WR

I'm with you on the OLB, just not in that round. The thought of Flozell or Fabini going down scares the ever luving bejesus out of me. God help us if pettiti or tucker have to go in.

Let our draft scouts (Ireland) etc make that call, come draft day I don't think we'll be disapointed with our picks.

We're not taking an offensive lineman in the first round.....my guess would be WR or OLB....then a solid lineman in round 2 perhaps

1. OLB
2. FS
3. OT

There is good value for O-linemen later in the draft, but all the real impact OLBs and FS will be gone by round 3.

Outside linebacker
Offensive tackle
Free safety

Unless the stuff about Ayodele moving inside is all a smoke screen, and we are targeting Kai Parham in the 3rd round... Then:

Trade down
Offensive tackle
Free safety
Wide receiver/nose tackle
Inside linebacker (Parham)

I think WR dropped from the radar with TO and TG being extended. There's no way we draft a WR in round one only to have him as a #3 possibly #4 WR this year.

You don't draft first round picks based on being scared of your starters getting hurt.

I'm still not a 100% sold on crayton, i like his potential....but I would still take a top prospect like jackson or holmes anyday, especially since we wouldn't have to rush them into the starting lineup obviously and they could sit on the bench and watch TO decimate secondaries and see how it's done!

I agree that would be great if we didn't have such a glaring need at OLB.

You do when your backups are Pettiti and Tucker. If you got some good ones, you could have Fabini as a #2 and Pettiti or Tucker #3

Maybe I'm hitting the panic button, but I'm just tired of watching Julius or Marion getting slammed 2 yards into the backfield because of our O-line play. You just simply can't win in this league without winning on the line of scrimmage. Get me as many quality O-lineman as possible. Those guys always go down with injury and If I have to watch Pettiti or Tucker go into the starting lineup I'm going to vomit.

I like Crayton, I think he'll be ok. There is no way I see a Wideout being taken on day one though.

I think Bledsoe can take us a long way, but only if he has a good offensive line. Solidify the line first, that way after bledsoe leaves, we'll at least have a good line to put Romo, or Henson, or any other young guy in there.

No, not even then. This will get you fired as a coach/GM real quick. You get your backups (especially OL) in either the late rounds of the draft or in FA, NOT THE FIRST ROUND!

1-OT. Now even more with the loss of Tucker.
2-WR. Need a speed guy here to step in for anyone.
3-LB. Outside this years a special teamer - spot player.

Thats exactly my point. The guys we got now should be backups. Not starters. You draft in the 1st round then those guys are your starters.

We got Pettit in the late rounds, how'd that work out for us?
