Someone asked the question of which qb between romo and manning (eli) would be able to get to 70 percent.

Well, even coming off back injury Tony Romo is at 69.5 through a quarter of the season, where as even with the Washington Football team making Eli Manning look like Peyton he still is only at 66.9.

Manning will fall back to Earth, Romo on the other hand should keep getting better.

i see you are referring to Eli. I would say who cares I'm just gonna enjoy Romo getting better each week. Not really concerned with 70% completion % as it will change as the season wears on. One can only hope Eli goes back to throwing picks

You missed my point. This was a response to conjecture before the season started as to which of the two had a better shot at getting to that mark. It was obvious then and it is obvious now.

Romo is darn near 80% over the last two games. I don't think its impossible for him if the run game continues to be successful.

I think Romo has a good chance of hitting 70% with this running game.

Yeah...I think 137 and some change on the passer rating last night! Man, what a potent ground game can do for a quarterback. There were some not good things being posted after the Niners game. Even I started to believe he might be going to the dogs. The season is still young but he looked in command last night. His mechanics are certainly better, and if Murray is going to continue galloping at 6.2 yds/carry like last night, then I think it just might be possible, at least over a small stretch of the season. The scary thing about Murray is that they are obviously sparing him and yet he is still on pace for about 1600 yards. I got a 90's kind of feeling last night watching him at the second level and beyond.

BTW, Murray is on pace for 2100 yards.

If we can keep the running game going, which will allow the receivers and tight ends to get some one-on-ones on play-action, Romo has a chance to have a lot of games like Sundays.

Teams now have to pick their poison, which is a great thing to finally see.

Oh man...I am off today...Linear Algebra has my brain fried at present...thanks...an Eric Dickerson/Terrell Davis season! Seems insane doesn't it? Heck...even if he gets "merely" 1600...the Cowboys will roll pretty good, No?

Field trip: seems Simpson did 2000+ on the fewest attempts...the Dickerson season was just phenomenal...Davis was just a touchdown machine [21] the year [98] he broke into the club. Emmitt had a whopping 25 in 1995, even though he was short on the yardage side [1773].
