Which regular season record indicates we're SB bound?

We've seen teams go 15-1 and not make it to the Super Bowl; and there have been 11-5 teams win it all. Which regular season record do you see this team finishing with that would be the best indicator of its chances to reach and/or win the Super Bowl?

I'll just say this the teams that are getting hot in december are the teams with the best chance of going all the way.

With three away games (Detroit, Washington, and in particular, Carolina) and hosting Philadelphia this December, it will be interesting to see if this team can reverse it's (now) customary December swoons. If we beat the Eagles at home, I see us going 3-1 with a loss to the Panthers or sweeping the month 4-0.

That is what I'm hoping for as well. I would add having the 1st or the 2nd best record in the NFC would not hurt either. I would much rather have only 2playoff games to get to the SB than having to play that 3 playoff games starting with wildcard weekend.

The six postseason participants from each conference will now be seeded as follows:

1. The division champion with the best record.
2. The division champion with the second-best record.
3. The division champion with the third-best record.
4. The division champion with the fourth-best record.
5. The Wild Card club with the best record.
6. The Wild Card club with the second-best record.

Looks like we should shoot for a division championship with the third best record or higher then.

Minn. fans to this day think Pearson got a break from the refs on the Hailmary. It is all a matter of prespective we say they screwed us when we lose and the other sides say they we got the breaks when they lose. As for this season my hope is the NFC East and a playoff bye week.

I don't think there's any certain record that indicates you're going to the Super Bowl. I'll take whatever record is necessary to win the division and get homefield, or at least a playoff bye. That'll usually require at least a 12-4 or 13-3 season.

We've never won more than 13 games in a regular season before and have only won that many once.
