Either way I'll be both happy and sick to my stomach
Eh...not tonight. He barely completed 50% and didn't throw a TD. He had one of his INTs called back because of a penalty.Bob Sacamano;1918270 said:lol, really, the last 4 games he's completed over 70% of his passes, has an almost 3 to 1 TD to INT ratio, not to mention a QB rating that must be over 140
and he's 3-0 in the playoffs this year. Which is the only stat that matters.theogt;1918295 said:Eh...not tonight. He barely completed 50% and didn't throw a TD. He had one of his INTs called back because of a penalty.
His numbers look good against us, but he only attempted 18 passes. Tavaris Jackson even looks good when he's only asked to attempt 18 passes in a game.

Great. My point is that he's been a bus driver type. Not a Tom Brady type.parcells316;1918304 said:and he's 3-0 in the playoffs this year. Which is the only stat that matters.

Well, I guarantee there isn't one franchise in this league that wouldn't want to be 3-0 in the playoffs at this point. Unless you prefer Romo's 0-1, but maybe he'll win the pro bowl with all his wonderful stats.theogt;1918311 said:Great. My point is that he's been a bus driver type. Not a Tom Brady type.
In that regard 3-0 doesn't mean a thing.
And there likely isn't one franchise int he NFL that would take Eli over Romo, or a dozen or so other QBs that aren't 3-0 in the playoffs. So what's your point?parcells316;1918322 said:Well, I guarantee there isn't one franchise in this league that wouldn't want to be 3-0 in the playoffs at this point. I don't want either to win, but I want the Pats to lose...
A month ago no one would have taken Eli over Romo. Now? Not so sure about that. My point is, stats are absolutely meaningless except for the final score. He's helped his team win 3 road playoff games and get to the Super Bowl. Bus driver, taxi driver, whatever, doesn't matter cause he got it done. What in the hell is your point? Nothing apparently.theogt;1918340 said:And there likely isn't one franchise int he NFL that would take Eli over Romo, or a dozen or so other QBs that aren't 3-0 in the playoffs. So what's your point?
