All are over rated except the Cowboys are under rated.....:D

AFC
I still think Steelers are over rated,,though they been playing well lately. Don't think any other teams over rated.
No team really under rated at all, but I think the Bengals are a bit, because they are all, over the place at times. Mostly because Dalton is up or down.

NFC
Panther going in over rated, as of their recent play, but yet they played subar teams.
Seahawks may be a bit over rated but they have been playing better, but have they really as much as the media makes them out to be.
don't think any teams really under rated. I think Dallas may be a bit. But have heard some pundits say some good things to. The under rated thing comes from the usual haters.

Baltimore Underrated. I think they will make noise.

Denver-seriously over hyped. They way Manning has been playing, and fear of the cold, and his duck balls. I would not be shocked at a knock out early.

What do you guys and girls think about this one?

over rated are panthers and AZ. panthers won last 4 against a bunch of other losers. AZ just doesn't have QB play. unfortunately those two play each other.

on the AFC I think ravens are over rated. they haven't played good in the past month and been getting by. I think Denver despite their 2nd seed is under rated.

NFC
Overrated
Green Bay (Just a soft team overall. Knock Rodgers off his spot and the whole team falls apart.)

Underrated
Carolina (I can actually see them giving Seattle problems.)

AFC
Overrated
Indy

Underrated
Cincy (All the talent in the world. They are in the same boat we are in. Gotta prove it.)

Haven't watched Denver but from the highlights. it looks like something is wrong with Manning. If that's the case, and he cant go, they will exit quickly and are overrated,

Pats no opinion.
Denver over
Bengals over
Baltimore under
Colts over
Steelers. Bell got hurt......but, under....Steelers are tough in playoff games most of the time. they rise,

----------------------------------------------------------------

Seattle. Over/ but not by much.... they are tough SB team. but they can be beat
Packers. no opinion
Cardinals Over
Lions. no opinion.
Panthers UNDER
Cowboys . right about even.

Carolina? they played Atlanta, Cleveland, NO and tampa their last 4. before that they were 3-8-1. those 4 teams rank at the bottom of the league on defense and the best offensive team was NO. luckily they play AZ. their game is going to be defensive battle, 13-9 kind of game. I give slight edge to AZ who went 5-4 their last 9 and played some tough teams...tough

cincy is an enigma wrapped in a question. they look like world beaters one day and worst team in the league another. it just depends on which team shows up. I disagree on GB being soft. knock romo and dallas looks like an easy team to beat. their offense is good, can run, pass and Rodgers is league MVP type player. their defense is average. the key to beating them is to keep their offense off the field.

Yes Carolina had an easy schedule and they are lucky to be in the tournament, but they are play good ball now. Their defense looks like it's back on track and they have found a running game to bolster their offense. Carolina's GM should be shot after letting all their offensive weapons leave for basically nothing.

Green Bay will not lean on the run game like we will if Romo is getting knocked around. And they are not built to stop the run on defense but if you fall behind and have to pass you are in trouble.

How are the Panthers overrated? All I hear is how they suck and they are the reason for wanting rule changes for the playoffs.

As of late, seems pundits are hyping them as getting hot the last few games. Or so it seems to me anyway.

I really haven't noticed that but the team does not scare me in the least. They basically stank.

Agree, do not scare me at all. I guess the mediots have to hype them to get people to watch.

Overrated = Arizona. Yes even now they are worse then people think. They are a terrible team without a qb. That's like us and Weeden. Just chalk 2 wins next to the column. That team will get destroyed in the playoffs.

Seattle= easy schedule. I'm more scared of the Lions and Seattle.

Overrated: Green Bay, Arizona, Indy, Denver, and yes, SEATTLE.

Underrated: Pitt, and Dallas

SB prediction: Cowboys vs. Steelers in Arizona. 19 years later. Old school returns and order in the NFL is restored!

EDIT: I have zero respect for Seattle's Mickey Mouse offense.

The Panthers shouldn't even be in the playoffs and they are giving them a real shot. Just crazy!

How are the Panthers overrated? All I hear is how they suck and they are the reason for wanting rule changes for the playoffs.

This is the problem, how are we identifying overrated vs. underrated? Everyone has differing opinions on the potential playoff success of many of these teams. In my opinion, there are only three possible SB winners - the Patriots, Seahawks or Cowboys. On the AFC side, Denver is extremely vulnerable and it would not surprise me one bit to see them lose in the divisional round. I hope that's not the case since I live in Denver, but I'm very skeptical of this team. Pittsburgh and Baltimore are the teams with the requisite "puncher's chance," largely because of their QBs, but ultimately, I expect the Patriots to win both of their playoff games by 2+ touchdowns.

There are no teams with a puncher's chance on the NFC side. There is a very clear delineation between the contenders - the Seahawks, Packers and Cowboys - and the pretenders (Cardinals, Lions, and Panthers). The media would try and have you believe the Panthers are getting hot at the right time, but the reality is that whichever team wins the Cardinals-Panthers matchup and goes to Seattle is going to get utterly smashed in a most egregious way. The outcome of Cowboys-Lions will be similar. If the Lions aren't careful (i.e. turn the ball over), this one could get out of hand in a hurry. I expect a similar type of game that we saw with the Colts and Commanders, perhaps a very brief period of success for the Lions, but the Cowboys will score, score again, and then score some more. I expect a three-touchdown lead by the half and a comfortable margin of victory.

Cowboys-Packers could be a doozy but I do think the old adage about the "playoff brand" of football wins out here. A close game in the first half and maybe through the third quarter but the Cowboys' physical brand of offensive football will wear the Packers down and the Cowboys will walk out of there with what many view as a shocking seven to ten-point win. But admittedly, this is the hardest matchup to gauge, Rodgers is obviously a significant factor, the single greatest individual factor in these playoffs. But if the Packers do win, they will get punished in Seattle. The Seattle defense is built to stop this Packers offense, it's as simple as that. We've heard this story before and there is no reason believe it would have a different ending this time. On the other hand, the Cowboys offense brings a different element that is much more effective against that same Seattle defense, we've also read that story before. But the Seattle defense is certainly playing at its highest level right now, which is why...

...the Cowboys-Seahawks will be the game of the year. On one hand, each team's strength - the Seahawks defense vs. the Cowboys offense - are among the very best in the league, and makes for the most intriguing matchup of this entire playoffs, the old "irresistible force vs. the immovable object." But the more important reason is the fact that there is an underlying culture on both of these teams that makes them extremely similar - they try to intimidate opponents on both sides of the ball by playing with a level of physicality that their opponents do not, or cannot, match. An absolute slugfest featuring two teams that absolutely believe they are the best in the league.

I mentioned on here a month or so back that I had a dream and we were in the SB with the Steelers. Sticking to that :muttley:
