Which WR are we targeting?

Tough call but I trade #28 and Bobby Carpenter to Cincinnati for Chad Johnson, then draft D.J. Hall WR Alabama in the 4th round.

Hall could eventually become a #1 guy, as could Stanback but Hall has exceptional return abilities in both kickoff and punt returns.

Lets see, a lineup that had Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson with Jason Witten at the WR and TE spots, and say either Marion Barber or (Darren McFadden or Felix Jones) at the RB spot with Owen Schmitt blocking at FB and Tony Romo at QB. I think I would like our chances to score around 700 points next season, 589 would happen about game 12.

Heh. I think you're getting way ahead of yourself but it's nice to dream big.

There is no way if we trade a first away for Chad that dallas has any shot, at all, at DMac and personally, once more, I'm not at all hurt by that fact. I'd rather have Felix, of the two, anyway cause it won't cost us nearly as much to have him and we'll get essentially the same kind of impact player.

As for Austin or Hurd...you better believe that it will be Austin whose out of here before Hurd. Hurd is a good 3/4 WR and he stepped it up a handful of times this year when his number was called on. Austin, I like, but he was being kept around mainly for his KR ability and that began to seriously decline toward the end of the year (Partially cause they kicked away but even when they didnt he wasn't doing much more than 21-23 yard returns).

Ok, if Dallas is going to keep 5 WRS then obviously the 3 locks are TO, Crayton and Stanback. Glenn is gone, and that leaves Hurd and Austin on the bubble. Austin has a lot of drops while Hurd has come through in clutch situations for us. That being said I think Hurd will be the 4th wr on the roster. Now as for the 5th there is no chance of it being Chad Johnson. Him and Owens couldn't co-exist, just like Owens and Moss couldn't co-exist. I think Dallas will target either Roy Williams or Javon Walker. Walker would come cheaper if he's healthy. Drafting a WR in round 1 is a big risk, so I think Dallas will look to address CB and RB in round 1, especially if they end up parting with their 2nd or 3rd round pick for Williams or Walker. Or they could sign Stallworth, he's also a proven deep threat.

I'm still waiting to see where anyone gets this idea that Chad and T.O. won't get along but they're certain T.O. and Williams will get along. I'm curious as to where this factual information seems to be coming from.
