I need the vendor person at our work to get here and fix the machine. Put a dollar in, it will not take it, put change in, it spits it back out.
I need my Mt Dew and caffeine lol

I royally screwed this up.
Thought I hit reply but apparently I hit edit and screwed your post up to holy heck.

Sorry about that. It is my mistake and I own it.

Tried to go browser back to get your original post and paste it on but it was too late.

Sorry again.

No worries, I parsed through what you were saying.

Just difference of opinion and not a major one at that.

One thing to think back on with this whole Green issue.

We were hoping that Cooper and Collins would work out at OG and RT.
However they kept putting Green in the OG spot.

Also in the preseason some and early this year people were thinking that maybe Cooper and Collins were not going to work out. There was some hand wringing about how we should not have given up Leary at OG instead of using Green...other hand wringing that we should have kept Collins at OG.

But...slowly but surely they have improved.

Will Green Improve? Maybe...Maybe not.

I do know this though...If T.Smith continues with these back problems, we might as well start looking at OTs in the first round or a quality OT in the offeseason for a full time starter and not a backup
.

I think they have to seriously think about offensive tackle at this point.

Problem is, I don't think it's a good draft for them coming up.

But, like Romo, they've gotten themselves deeply rooted into Tyron Smith and his contract, so he's here either way, healthy or injured, playing or not.

But, unlike Romo, the team can proactively protect themselves in case things go wrong with him. Worst case scenario, they add another tackle to the mix and possibly think about moving Collins back to left guard?

But they definitely need to look at options there.

Not a big fan of the school...however With Zack doing so well for us...there is another couple of young men coming out of ND...one at OG and the other at OT.
Both "could" fall right into our lap.

However...I doubt they would take either in the first for the reasons you say.

If they get depth or look for a future starter, I think they do it in the other rounds or possibly FA.

Ellerbe has been in the NFL since 2009 and never started 16 games in a season and only once started more than 8. He is coming off an injury.

I wish the Cowboys could have traded for a LB and maybe DT before the trade deadline, but I'm not too concerned about not signing Ellerbe and Beatty.

The answer is Darryl Washington. Sean Lee out for 4 weeks is just screaming for some vet presence with speed. And no, Durant doesn't count because he's never active or allowed on the field.

Too late for that. The season will be over by the time he gets acclimated mentally and physically. I would look at him for next season if he is committed to playing.

I do not believe Marinelli runs a very complicated system and should pick it up in a few weeks. If in game shape.

I believe he announced he was retiring after Dallas denied his overtures to play here in the offseason.

World's Oldest Baby Mike Fisher mentioned that.

Pretty sure we signed Byron Bell and Jonathan Cooper in the offseason. Both are veterans that were expected to be backups. We also signed Looney before last season. Another vet with starting experience. We secured Benwikere, the guy from GReen Bay that just hurt his knee, We signed Durant just before the season and March-Lillard several weeks back. So it isn't that we have sat with tied hands. People just don't like the people we picked. THose are two different things.

I give them credit for trying. Also for potentially making those moves before a team like the Cowboys could.

I'm not saying the Cowboys had interest of course, only that it might have been a possibility, due to players like Jaylon Smith and Chaz Green struggling mightily.

Just a week or two ago, the Cowboys called Jarwin up to the active roster to block the Eagles, maybe turnabout is fair play?

But it's likely just trying to solidify their team for a stretch run in a season where they may have a chance at going a long way.

That's an interesting take. I think it's only because of their 8-1 record.

If they were 4-4 you'd be saying that they had done an awful job preparing their team for injuries and now they are just now signing guys out of desperation.

You can claim that. But it doesn't make it true.

I also said that if Dallas - at 5-4 - had made those moves I'd be giving them credit. Considering how poorly the Cowboys current two players on the field at both of those positions - Jaylon Smith and Chaz Green - are playing, having other possibly better options would be a wise move.

But we sat on our hands again.

I expect that they'll simply shuffle the deck chairs on the Titanic and give Byron Bell and Justin Durant their chance to disappoint and we'll be talking about them on Monday after yet another loss.

I believe 100% that you wouldn't believe these were upgrades over what we have now, and you really don't actually believe these are good signings period.

Ok, you're welcomed to "believe" whatever you'd like to...
