The Dallas Cowboys will select fourth in the 2016 draft, which will be held April 28-30 in Chicago. Here are prospects CBS Sports and NFLDraftScout.com draft analyst Dane Brugler targets for Dallas, along with his comments:

Myles Jack, LB, UCLA (6-1, 225) One of the best cover linebackers to enter the draft in recent memory, Jack is a twitchy athlete with the instincts to match his speed. If Rolando McClain is not re-signed, the Cowboys can move Sean Lee back to the middle and add Jack at weakside linebacker.

Why would we move Lee back to middle LB? He played more games this season then he ever has. Why send him back to MLB so he only plays 3 games in the season? I rather keep him where he is at and only miss a couple games

Agreed. If we draft a LB, it needs to be an elite talent at MLB that has zero injury history.

Not only did he play a good amount of games, but he looked like an absolute beast once he settled in. When healthy, he looked like a top 3 linebacker in the league. I am not moving Sean Lee for anything other than an injury emergency during the season.

I believe the LB from Notre Dame is going to fall because of reconstructed knee surgery. Should we see if he falls to the 2nd and pick him in the 2nd

Why not take them both? If Jack is the highest rated player when Cowboys pick, then they need to take him or trade down

I like idea but we need alot on this team in my humble opinion FS or SS depending on where BJ plays a Strong side LB and a weak side ( due to the fact SL is often injured) I'd keep Hitchens in the middle that's where he excels. We need a 1 tech 2 CBs a RB a WR( tired of Terrance return of the body catcher Williams) future QB and lets B honest we need a TE for the future

Thats 10 spots so if we hit a home run in FA and the draft we can take care of all that in the offseason but to be realistic it will probably take 2 drafts to take care of all that we truly need

Jack would play a lot of snaps.

Are athletic middle linebackers who can defend the pass becoming more valuable in light of the popularity of short passing game?

Yes sir. I also noticed Hitchens played better in the middle. That being said I wouldn't mind upgrading the LB spots

BPA.

The only thing is that moving Lee back to the MIKE and the risk of injury with his contract isn't a good move. Plus, pure 4-3 OLB's that get drafted that high at #4 or close to #4, really don't work out more often that not. I mean, major busts like Aaron Curry level busts.

Anyone think Lawson rises up draft boards and enters the conversation?
