My friend and I were discussing this.. We had a few disagreements, so I wanted to see everyone else's take on it..
Here's my Top 10:
1. Roy Williams
2. Demarcus Ware
3. Terence Newman
4. Mat McBriar
5. Terrell Owens
6. Jason Witten
7. Terry Glenn
8. Tony Romo
9. Jason Ferguson
10. Andre Gurode
I know some will say Roy shouldn't be #1, but he is a playmaker and a game changer.. But more than anything, when he is playing in the box and close to the line of scrimmage, like he will be this year, I truly feel he is one of the most dominating players in the league.. Demarcus Ware and Terence Newman both could easily be #1, and you could make a case for Mat McBriar as well, but c'mon, he's a punter.. In my eyes, the top 4 are pretty interchangable and you could make an argument for each.. I have TO at #5, but if he is healthy and still as fast and strong as before (which he looks to be all of the above), he could make a case for #1 as well.. Witten is one of the best TE's in the NFL, but I don't think he is as dominant or elite as the 5 before him.. Terry Glenn is probably still, after all these years, the most underrated player on the team.. He is consistently great, but never quite elite.. Tony Romo is the wildcard.. He could easily (and hopefully will) become an elite QB in this league, but as of now, he is too unproven to make such a claim.. Jason Ferguson is a very good player and one of the most indispensible on the team.. Andre Gurode really has come on the last couple of years and seems to be getting better and better.. Flozell has been to more Pro Bowls and Leonard Davis seems to have the potential to be more dominating, but as of now, Gurode is our most consistent, healthy and best offensive lineman..
What's your Top 10? What do you think of mine? Pretty awesome? Pretty sucky? Let's hear it!
