Could be a rookie, or maybe a 2nd year outside linebacker, or Owens. Who do you think is going to surprise people this year?

Personally, for many reason were all aware of I think Witten is going to have a monster year

And its a good idea to get his extension done now, before he goes nuts this year and is worth more

Personally my money would be on Terry Glenn to have a true monster of a year. With defenses having to roll coverage over to Owen's side of the field, and J. Jones being a threat out or the backfield, I just predict him doing truly embarrasing things to the CBs sent to single cover him.

Its scary just picking only one who will have a good year. TO great receiver, Glenn awesome receiver, but deffenses will be more worried about TO and that will backfire on them. Then you got Witten he will have another tight end to help him out. Then you got all these receivers opening up the running lanes for Jones, and don't forget Bledsoe, this might be a record breaking year for him. And thats just the offense, I won't go into the deffense. I can't wait for the season to start.

I'm looking forward to seeing how much Rob Pettiti has improved from last season. I've been pulling for this kid from day-1 and am still hopeful that he will turn out to be one of our best draft steals ever.

DeMarcus "BEWARE" Ware!

I'll have to second that. Chris Canty putting on 20 lbs. of muscle, Jason Ferguson being healthy again to help put teams in 3rd & long situations, and Marcus Spears coming in healthy & fresh, and DWare coming back bigger & stronger are all going to add up to a Monster Year.

The three second year players have that rookie year under their belts, & know the system a lot better, and rookie Rob Carpenter bringing in the ability to put the heat on over on the other side, teams won't be able to double DWare nearly as often. With his recognition skills much better at the end of last year & coming into 2006, he won't be hesitating nearly as much. He will just trust his instincts & go for it, like Charles Haley said he would learn to do. I see a 12-13 sack season for my man, "BeWare".

I really like the Glenn prediction. you just cannot cover him one on one, and teams will be forced to try at times. It could be ugly for some of them.

I think Julius Jones could be another player who exceeds expectations, after not meeting them last year.

I am the most interested in watching Bobby Carpenter play. Whether he will win the starting job, stay healthy, and become another great Cowboys linebacker.

I think J. Jones could finally have that breakout year.

I think it will be more difficult to stack the box to stop the run with TO as well as a 2nd TE receiving threat and a hopefully improved OL.

I don't disagree with any of the 'hopes' posted thus far. I, too, look for improvement among our young Defensive players. Glenn, Witten and Jones can't help but benefit from TO.

The player I expect big things from is Bledsoe. With the exception of question marks at O-Line, Drew couldn't ask for a better spot to be in at the end of his career. I expect to see a real push from him to take us to the Title.

If I had to say 1 player I would say Ware. With a year under his belt and heading into this season I think he will have a big season.

I would say Bledsoe. He could be a pro-bowler this year.

Canty! Canty! Canty! That's my guy. :)

Followed up by Spears.

These two stay on my excitement radar.

Petitti is a guy I root for...

Cant wait to see how all these guys hard work this offseason pays off.

The first player that popped into my head was Julius. He should be healthy and hungry to prove the naysayers wrong.

I think he could have a monster year now that we have TO to keep those defenses from stacking the box.

Jason Hatcher, Chris Canty and Justin Beriault.

I can't pick one

Chris Canty's reporting weight is 300lbs. On Friday's DC.com interview Canty stated he's at 305 lbs. That's 305 lbs on a 6'-7" frame. He's an inch taller than NewEngland's Richard Seymour and only 5lbs lighter.:flex:

It gets better.......... we might have two freakish DLmen.........Jason Hatcher is listed at 6'-6". He's coming into the Cowboys strength and conditioning program healthy and already 10lbs heavier that Canty's rookie weight.

I think he'll also be in that 295 to 300 lb range. :muttley:

Beriault was causing havoc in camp playing on a bump knee. He's 10lbs heavier with a healthier knee. His confidence has got to be high. He got Bill recognition playing injured and weaker. I think he'll shine on Special teams initially.

Beriault could throw a monkey-wrench in the FS spot by mid-season after he's played against opposing NFL players and the lights come on.:starspin

I was thinking the same thing.

I enjoy watching football players, but they don't "exite" me.

I'm looking to the SKY... SKYLER GREEN that is!!! with this Defense producing 3 and outs like they r on sale at the dollar store and the lost art of the Coffin Corner... We will find out why BILL drafted a Punt Returner in the 4th round and traded up to make sure he got his man!!!

I look for him to have a Kevin Williiams type rookie season...

I bet BILL sees little DAVE MEGGETT in GREEN!!!

I have 2 Punt Returns for TDs and a TOP 5 average return punts....

dont worry I wont say I told u so...

ok, i'll play so people won't think i'm 100% negative, just the 90% i come across. : )

on defense:
roy williams. he's heading into his prime now and i can only hope the changes on defense and pat watkins can help him do more of what he's naturally great at doing - the smackdown!

ware. he's got all the potential in the world to be that flashy player who can dominate and quite possibly only the 2nd player i got a jersey w/THEIR name on the back of it. (roy williams being the one for now). he's got his rookie campaign out of the way, did very well in it, and i can't wait to see how another year helps him improve our overall defense.

on offense:
witten and fasano. while not excited about a TE in the 2nd round when i felt we had other needs, that's not fasano's fault. i'm really looking forward to seeing what can be done w/a 2 TE set to both help the line and to also open up the offense some for other players to get open and opportunities.

crayton. yea, a bit of an underdog pick but hey - that's part of all the fun to me. TO and glenn don't need people to get excited about them, they're vets who've been there, done that but i want to see if crayton can still become a weapon in an offense that seems to be moving away from the 3rd wr, so his job arguably is even thougher than before.

petitti. reasons listed in the thread under his name, but he literally went through hell last year and didn't flinch. he toughed it out, did what he was asked to do and i really hope parcells got it right on this kid and his "head games" work to help him step it up.

there - there *are* things i'm looking forward to so i just thought i'd post 'em for those who don't think i'm a cowboys fan. : )

Resurgence of the running game... I like the smashmouth hog the ball running game... Plus we have 2 WRs capable of the quick strike TD...

Second year in the 3-4 D is going to be fun to watch too...

HECK... ALL OF IT!!!

Even the idiot kicker fires me up.
