Another player to keep your eye on is Chris Vaughn of Wake big kid that can run very smart. 3rd or 4th round Behind Curry (OLB) he jumps out at you

he can even be had in the 3rd, since our's is pretty high

Verry possible. I'd be thriled if we got out of the 3rd with 2 guys like Chung and Raji/Brace.

Derek Pegues used to play CB and was moved to strong safety. He isn't very big, but he will knock your head off. He's a big hitter, and he returns punts.

He would be a good player to replace Watkins or Brown.

Don't you guys think the Cowboys will draft more than 1 safety?

Anthony Henry and Hamlin will be the starting safeties... I think Dallas will draft someone to groom probably in the 3rd or 4th round.

That's so dumb...I really hate the Henry move to FS that guy is done we should cut him already....Shouldn't his contract be up?

While i agree it's time for RW38 to move on, everything i've ever heard come out of Jerry's mouth, he thinks RW is still a top S in the NFL. Question is, has Jerry changed his mind?

I'm almost certain that Jerry isn't the only one who things he's a top S in the NFL.

He's in the last year of his contract(2009) and he's due a 1 million roster bonus in March. He could very well be history. A 32 year old perpetually injured player? I've seen enough.

jerry jones is a moron.

until the day he hires a gm and keeps his meddling ways out we are doomed.

we will never have a real head coach with him pulling the strings.

All of the usual suspects have been covered in this thread, but I have one that might surprise you at safety-- Jonathan Casillas, OLB, Wisconsin...

Hear me out-- the guy's 6-1, 225 pounds, and runs a 4.45 40... this reminds me of another small but swift linebacker who came out some years back, and turned out really good... I refer to Darren Woodson, and from the little I've seen of Casillas, I swear I see some Woody in him...

I think he'll be too small for OLB in the NFL, but I also think he ought to be able to make the transition to SS smoothly... he'll be featured prominently in a number of my mock drafts in the coming weeks, I'm so sold on him...

Sean Smith and Myron Rolle would be awesome additions to our team.

this isn't the 1st time you've seen Woody in an undersized, college LB

can't fault you for trying:p:

6'3" 220ish..runs a 4.28 40. Hits like a truck.

He's gonna be a freak in the NFL.
I'd wager he won't time anything close to 4.28 when scouts put a clock on him.

This guy in the Music City bowl was playing CB and not OLB...I wrote this in another post....

Kevin Akins ... this cat went from OLB to CB he is 6-2 224  this is a guy I really like... I have been talking for a while about needing a hybrid type a guy that can cover like a corner and hit like a LB...he needs to move to SS for us so he may take a year or 2 to develop but what a player this guy could make

He missed the first two games of the season because of injury, then started the next 10, but his knee flared up again before the bowl game against FSU, and he missed it...

The only legal issues I've found with him was getting cited for drunk driving-- on a moped, if you can believe that-- back in August...
