Who did Jason Garrett want to draft instead of Randy Gregory?

That round is basically like him in a casino at two in the morning where he asks the hooker with him to blow on the dice and he hurls them.

If you watch the draft war room cam I believe you can see said hooker. Not sure if there's any blowing.

I just can't draft someone who fails a test the week of the combine idc what their talent is. Hated that pick from the onset. Maybe he is mentally ill and if that is the case I feel bad for him. Doesn't mean go and draft him

Marijuana stays in your system a long time. Two guys could get high together weeks before and one test clean while the other not.

In the NFL they start testing on 4/20 of all days........if you pass then that is it for the year.....so you have to stop on St Paddy's Day......if they don't test you during OTAs they test at TC....same thing, stop at the end of June......pain management should be at it lowest in the off-season

and even if you get caught, all you have to do is stay clean for 90 days and you go back to zero

I think they liked Tevin Coleman.

If so, it kinda worked out, eh? I love that we finally have another Emmitt to watch. I'm partial to the run game.

I think it was Tevin Coleman or Duke Johnson.

I'm assuming that Garrett wanted a runningback.

Great analogy because he gambles more in that round than nearly any other.

What's it going to be then, eh?

And you can't say he is not involved, but he really talks a lot about the 2nd rounder.

He has more to say about that player than any other, including the first rounder.

That's because he always takes someone Dallas has as a first round talent "but for"..."but for" their injury or "but for" their red flags. So as a deal maker he feels the team has gotten one over on the rest of the League.

It's a rush for him I suppose...

Like I said, different people will process it differently. You can say that it clears in x amount of time but that number comes with considerable variability. A player might here "4 weeks" and be real disciplined with that but because he can't apply lessons from his 1st year statistics course, could end up failing the test

They likely would have picked a RB, but man would Danielle Hunter be a good fit now...

Being mentally ill, maybe he makes bad decisions

Which is my whole point. I would much rather take a risk on a Jaylon Smith, a Sean Lee, people like that who are RKG. I'm not drafting mentally ill people that high. I realize it's something you can be born with but that doesn't mean I'm going to draft you

Drink vinegar night before testing and you can even smoke on your way to the test and it will be cleaned. Been knowing that since high school

Who did Jason Garrett want to draft instead of Randy Gregory? It was apparent that he did not want us to draft Gregory, so who was his RKG?
Gregory combined with Ro has turned me off on the risk/reward philosophy Jones likes.
I guess all the chickens coming back at once just demonstrated too strongly that failure.
We needed Gregory so badly

Sure but Jerry has people in his ear saying "Charles Haley." Also, he likes to think we've got great support for players. Likely not as good as he brags.

Yup, I would have drafted someone reliable. Weed heads hardly ever put down the dope. Maybe Gregory in the 3rd or 4th. Not my 2nd pick tho.
