Who do you see as the biggest threat to us in the NFC East this season and why?

I am not even going to post my answer yet because I jump between the Giants and the Commanders each day for different reasons. The experienced, been there-done that but maybe declining Giants vs the RG3-Alfred Morris uprising Commanders with a defense that looks like it could be promising with Orakpo getting healthy. Will the Giants bounce back? Will the Commanders and RG3 be a one season fluke? Health will definitely play a huge factor in this division. Although I personally do not see the Eagles as the biggest threat, I would not be totally shocked if they somehow win this division behind Vick and Shady with Chip Kelly's new offense (although I would be surprised). This division is totally in the air and many teams can rise or decline fast this season within the NFC East, including us.

Looking forward to your responses and insights, I might write one up later in the week with more thought when I have a more confident answer.

I agree, the Cowboys are their own biggest threat. They may have the most overall talent but like like certain 4th place finishers to me.

I wanted to say him, but I figured WG would penalize me

It just points out that Romo can take this team farther, or shorter, than any other entity out there.

Relevant quote from Charles Woodson on Aaron Rodgers:
“I would say this: There’s been times throughout my career there when defensively we put a piss-poor product on the field, and we’ve been in games and won ballgames solely on the arm of Aaron Rodgers and the legs of Aaron Rodgers and what he’s been able to do throwing a ball to a Greg, a Donald, a Jermichael,” Woodson told ESPNWisconsin.com. “A couple years ago, we were 15-1, and if we have any other quarterback other than Aaron Rodgers, we’re 7-9."

Commanders. A healthy RGIII along with getting Orakpo back on defense makes them the biggest threat to us.

If Dallas doesn't beat themselves, nobody in the NFC East will beat them.

But really it's probably Washington. NYG always manages to be there, though. Tough to say. This is easily the most unpredictable division in the NFL, especially with Chip Kelly's unknown.

So if Romo was the QB they'd be 7-9.

He's overstating it but there is some truth in what he said.

What he didn't say is Aaron Rodgers had receivers open all over the field for his entire career until last season... The worst season of Rodgers career. Coincidence? I say no

Tough to say. It really could be the Eagles. They are going to be a tough team with the way Kelly is going to have that offense running. I think their defense is going to let them down though. The Commanders aren't that talented but have the best Coach in the division. Shanahan's schemes are so brilliant and how he keeps Griffin from making drive killing mistakes is so smart that he alone makes that a pretty tough team to play. Luckily for us, their defense isn't going to be very good and their best defensive player is 75 years old. The Giants, IMO, are on their way down. They just look like an uninspired, tired, old team. They are pretty well coached (like all the NFC East teams), but they're stale. They need some change.

I really think it's the Giants. They just find a way year in and year out, even if they have a bum year they'll beat us at least once. I also am not so high on the Skins as everybody else seems to be.

our biggest threat to us is..

..us.

Has been for the last 6 or 7 years.

This team finds a way to fail.

Take a step back.

Underachieve.

Step up to the plate and go down swinging..or not.

Eliminate the penalties, the turnover/interceptions/fumbles.

That alone immediately make us 2-3 games a year better.

The difference b/w 8-8 and being in the playoffs/winning division titles..

and more.

The missed opportunities just the last two seasons have been fan-numbing.

So forget the Eagles, the Jints, The Commanders, the Saints, the Vikes, the 9ers the Seahawks..whomever.

If the team could just get into a rhythm early in games..establish an identity offensively and defensively..

..then I think we win going away.

I think it's the giants as well. I think RGknee and the skins will come back down to earth. Teams will defend that offense better and force that QB to actually read a defense and not have guys running wide open because if the read option crap. Or whatever they call it. Brilliant system but and it gives the QB easy targets. Also Morris will not find the running success he had last year. But we shall see.

You guys are talking about the backwards hat, right? I have such a hard time trying to decipher which non-issues we're worried about these days.

Quick...somebody post a picture of Jason Garrett's play calling.

I went with Commanders, but like others have stated I think our biggest threat is ourselves. If our defense and running game/o-line can come through this year then I honestly believe we can blow open the NFC East. Last year we had our worst running game in history with a banged up defense which finished in the bottom half, and we still had a chance to win the division during week 17.

Just thinking about what we would've done with a healthy D makes me all giddy inside, because finally this year we'll actually get to see this incredible talent on the field - healthy.

Biggest threat to the Dallas Cowboys
1) Tony Romo jk
1) Ourselves (Health / Penalties / Turnovers / Defense / O-Line / Red Zone / Head Coach?)
2) Commanders (RGIII / Alfred Morris) We play them twice
3) NFC North (Detriot / Chicago / Minnesota / Green Bay ) We could easily lose all 4 games
-
4) Giants (3-0 at OUR stadium) Honestly I'm not too worried about them, Maybe I should be ?
-
5) Eagles (Have matched up well against us in the past) I'm not sure if they'll be good or not
