This will make 4 DC's in 4 years. They are obviously doing something wrong. So IMHO, they need to stop pigeon holing themselves into only hiring former head coaches and rather start looking at proven leaders of men, who can coach players into improvement. Regardless of their notoriety or past accolades. I don't want another re-tread ex-head coach with a defensive back ground just because. I want a guy who commands respect and will make his players better. A man who can get the players to run through a brick wall for him.
If that guy happens to be a past head coach, fine I don't care. But if he is just an up and coming assistant, a college coach or someone you've never heard of, I don't care about that either. Just get me that guy, from where ever you can find him, and I will be happy.
So I ask you guys for some names of men who might fit my wish list.
I think Jim Leonhard and Brian Flores fit the mold.
Who else?
