Who else would be delighted if the Eagles' trade-up is a disaster?

Didn't the Chargers give up the farm to get Ryan Leaf? Or did they already have that high pick. In any event, I hope whomever the Eagles pick (probably Wentz) is a massive bust. Then the Eagles suck for years and eat out their hearts as the Browns get better via their picks. The best consolation that the Cowboys haven't won the Lombardi in a long time is that the Eagles have NEVER won it. They came close a couple times.

Who else hopes this trade is the beginning of something we'll be laughing about for a long time?

The panic surrounds a general feeling that the quarterbacks the next two drafts will be poor.

But who thought Wentz would be here a year ago?

The Eagles just crapped their knickers.

Exactly next year's crop as of now doesn't look so good but I have a feeling that will all change by this time next year

I think that's what was bizarrely funny about the Eagles GM saying one reason they moved up was because they looked at the QB landscape in the next few drafts and didn't see a franchise QB there.

So they traded up a guy that they probably didn't even knew existed a year ago. LOL.

The flipside is if the kid turns into a stud, you have to watch him twice a year for the next decade.

I will take my chances that a guy who didn't dominate at South Dakota State will not start to in the NFL.

Every year someone rises to the top as the next great QB of the future....drafted high etc.... Each year a team can sell the farm to grab that top pick...also sell the farm to trade for a guy....so in judging the landscape, that is BS...

Yep. I said this in another thread earlier today, but my guess is we'll all be here at this time next year debating/arguing which of the QB's coming into the draft is best. There will probably be a trade or two surrounding the top QB's, as well. Don't know this for sure...just a hunch.

fwiw, The very top of the next two draft classes will rate higher than these two guys. imo
These guys were in the 91 range--about where Bortles was. Decent, but not as high as Stafford, Cutler, Winston, Mariotta..or even Sanchez, Tannehill, et al...and certainly not the 98 of Ryan or 99 that Luck had.
Check back in at this time next year.

These teams are just rolling the dice hard here. Maybe they hit, maybe not.

Since these horrible teams rarely escape the cellar, and they already have their "franchise quarterback" (acquired from being horrible) keeping them on the horrible track, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Browns and Titans right back here next year shopping picks.

Obviously we all would be giggling like little girls if it turns out that way for the sheagles. But it did throw a monkey wrench into the Boys drafting Wentz, which could have been the case.

In the meantime, "Excuse me while I whip this out.".....(gasp)..............:igglestrophy:
