Growing up ive been a Steelers/Cowboys fan my whole life but at times i i would want troy on the cowboys and Roy on the steelers and theres times when i dont want either.....But if you guys had to choose, Who would you rather have on the Dallas cowboys.......Troy Polamalu or Roy Williams

Troy has great coverage and is great tackler and Roy Williams is a spectacular tackler

If you've been a Steelers/Cowboys fan your whole life I suggest either you are very young or not really into football.

Polamalu.

Roy was better by a mile at one point.

Troy is better by a mile now.

Polamalu isnt a very good tackler but he disrupts an offense as well as anyone.

Hes fun to watch too.

I take it you did not grow up in the 70's? I used to get into many a fist fight with the kid down the street who was a Steelers fan. Mostly these fights would happen at the end of January.

Polamalu had one great playoffs and has just been above average the rest of the time.. for all the crap that Roy gets for being overrated, Troy has to be the most overrated safety i've ever seen.. if it weren't for that playoffs and that hair, he'd be considered an average safety.. seriously, you guys think he's a great tackler and great in coverage?? i've seen him blow more plays than any Cowboys safety, both in coverage and in missed tackles.. i don't get the love for this guy..

i take Roy easily..

The same things that changed Troy also changed Roy. Roy's best year was with Woodson just like Troy's best years was with Chris Hope. Not saying that Hope is on par with Woodson but with Hope the Steelers were able to do a lot more and have Troy line up in many different spots and really on Hope to be in position.

They both have their good points and the both have their bad points.

Sometimes Troy try so hard to make a play he plays himself right out of the play.

I saw him try to jump over the offensive line to tackle a running back when he should have just followed the play and kept containment. Instead he was on his back and the running back to 20 yards down field.

I'd take Polamalu hands down he's a beast.

When he actually makes the play he is, when he doesn't he is generally the goat.

No the most over rated safety is Bob Sanders. He has played in only 59.4% of the games during his career. If you can't be on the field, you are not helping the team. He only has 4 career interceptions, 12 career passes defended and 2 career forced fumbles. He is a good player, but since John Madden goes ga-ga over him hitting a running back who is being held up by his teammates that means he is the best safety in the league.

good call.. Sanders is vastly overrated.. i can't believe the guy won DPOY.. but that's what bothers me-- Sanders and Polamalu are overrated immensely, and Roy gets all the heat for being overrated.. at this point, Roy is underrated immensely..

Ed Reed is a great player, no doubt.. but this Polamalu and Sanders lovefest, i just don't get..
