Flus has had a flash here or there.

Few and far between I know but I just remember thinking Nolan's version of defense was comically bad even more often than Flus's.

Dear gawd...I dunno man. I wanna believe in the guy but the last couple years or so with him at the Bears, now here, he's been historically bad.

I don't view Nolan highly but that was also during C-19 and the limited sessions with players.

The DL was bad. Pre Parsons.
The signings of Poe and McCoy didn't work out but Gregory was suspended, and we pretty much had Lawrence Armstrong, Anae, Ron Dell Carter and Joe Johnson at edge. to start.

The LB group was on it's last legs of Lee, and by 2020 LVE was a shell of himself and Jaylon was Jaylon.
Corners consisted of Awuzie, who at this point was just average here, Diggs(burnt) and Anthony Brown

Safeties were Dono Wilson and Woods. Woods who blossomed after here. Haha Clinton Dix was also a disappointment.

Nolan flaws and all I believe that defense at least generated turnovers it ended up being top by seasons end despite being towards the back to start the season. Eberflus defense does nothing.

Nolan was better because he had some NFL talent. Eber is a better DC.

It's like comparing dirty toilet water indoors vs a port o potty on a hot summer day at October fest. Neither makes me take pause and wonder hey, I'll take that ..both guys are uniquely unqualified to be an NFL DC and should probably stay far away from the 32 teams.
