Only video I saw wasn't very impressive. Not sure if it's the one in your link or not. I'm downloading another one on my PS3 though, so I'll see someday when it finishes the 12 or so videos I'm getting.

I am. I saw the E3 Madden video and all I see is the same game with a few new offensive and defensive animations. I might eventually get it just because I like playing with current NFL players, but for now it's APF all the way.

i'm definitely picking it up. 2k5 was the best football game ever, hands down. let's hope they can recapture some of that success.

Unless it really flops in reviews, I'll be getting it.

Looks like gameinformer gave it an 8/10 according to the 2k forums. Thats a pretty good score and hopefully a positive sign of things to come.

there are also some hidden videos, where one of the devs or producers talks about the game. there are 7 in total aroudn the ps3 store.

I don't know... the concept is cool, and the online play sounds awesome, but it just seems a little gimmicky. You only have so many roster spots for "stars." Is there trading, free agency, drafts every season? One of the funnest parts of Madden is the offseason IMO.

There is no offseason, what would be the point?

This game is going to be about the gameplay, if you want to price hotdogs or sign everyone, then Madden 06 v 2.0 is what you want.

I agree I buy Madden mainly for the franchise features.

Its sad that people buy a football game and take more enjoyment from fiddling around with menu screens than actually playing football.

:jerk:

I suppose every football game should just throw you in the game without getting to make any changes, roster moves, etc. All exhibition games, no schedule, no franchise modes, no playoffs, no super bowl...

All Pro is even going to have some of those features. They have a create-a-player mode... is that sad too?

For me, the offseason stuff appeals to me. I don't make stupid trades and have a team of all stars... I just play with the Cowboys, with the rosters as true to life as possible, then try to make them better every offseason. If you don't like that, fine... But apparently some people like that stuff, or they wouldn't put it in there.

IMO just playing games gets boring but to each their own.
