Seems people are saying Les is gone after the season and they will find the money to buyout his contract.

One would think if..IF... this is true, and it is a substantial buyout, that they would have to have someone in mind already.

So...any rumors going around yet?

Everyone says by far the front-runner, if he wants the job, is Jimbo Fisher at FSU.
He has a great setup in the ACC and an easier path to those final fours...also a great recruiting footprint.
Sure hope he doesn't leave, but the Louisiana oil money runs very, very deep within LSU Alum circles and Fisher has a history at LSU

Fisher is a West Virginia guy so there were rumblings that he was trying to push FSU to move to the Big 12 (when that whole thing was going on) and that he is not that happy that
the ACC has put much more emphasis on Basketball and has become similar to what the big east was.

I don't know if that has any truth to it but I wonder if he would want to go to the SEC where they take football more serious.

Either way...that is the only name I have heard some rumors about concerning LSU.

I don't get why they'd fire Les to be honest....

hopefully they do and he heads back north to Cuse. Might as well bring Orgeron with him

The ACC has always been powerful in basketball. I think they have 5 different teams that have won titles in the fairly recent times and several with multiple titles.
But if anything, they've put more emphasis on football lately than in the past.

They may end up with 2 football titles by two different teams in three years. The SEC can say that, but nobody else.

Fisher spent 6 years coaching at Auburn and then 5 more years (under Saban and Miles) at LSU.
He has big-time ties to the SEC.

It's a great set-up at Florida St, but I do wonder if LSU is a place he might leave there for.

Must be some things going on behind the scenes.

They know they can get someone better than Les imo.

So odd but I like a program that doesn't stick with the status quo just because they make big money in bowl games every year.

LSU has the money and the rep to get a very good HC in there.

Just so they stay away from my guy Nick!

I think they hate him anyway but well football is king in the South. They may try.

Jimbo is most likely.

Wonder if they'd make a strong run at Sean Payton. Fix their anemic passing game issues once and for all.

ACC will be interesting going forward. What will happen to VT without Beamer? Will be an interesting to see where that program goes.

Miami has an opening as well. Will be interesting to see who they can get.

Still don't know how UNC is getting away with all of their cheating and relatively little punishment. Will Fedora stay or go to a real football school?

Fisher and Swinney are the big dogs in that conference and have to get past each other for a conference championship every year. Don't know the motivation to go to the SEC.
