They have to knock off $4 million in the next week, so if they don't get Romo done by then, it'll take a few cuts to get there.

The Boys stand to free up $7M on the cap if Free is cut June 1....I just can't see his performance or potential performance justifying that number.

ouch, didn't know that. Maybe he'll be open to renegotiating, especially after we draft an Olineman. He's got to realize his value has dropped significantly in the event he finds himself off the team.

The Spears contract was a joke last year, an absolute joke. I wouldn't have given him anything more than the league minimum and Jerry throws him a multi million dollar deal. What a shame.

As far as Free goes I though he could be designated a june 1st cut which doesn't that mean that he can be released now and the money can be used now. I thought this was put in to allow a veteran player the chance to catch on with another team sooner rather than having to wait till that date. I could be wrong.

Vickers did not open up running lanes and should lose his job.

Wouldn't mind seeing Connor redo his deal and stay on for depth but I don't see him taking a pay cut and he is as good as gone.

What good is the designation then? Why would they not be able to spend the cash until then? If they are able to designate him for a June 1 cut and it's counted against the salary cap why wouldn't that money be free to use?

That is a pretty dumb rule it really hurts a team when it comes to signing players come FA.
