Now that Dunbar is out, who is it? I know they put Mcfadden back there during the game, but do you think Whitehead will get his chance? I just hope he can hold on to the ball, and if they leave Mcfadden back there, then our return game went from bad to worse because Dunbar wasnt that good of a returner to begin with.

Trade for Jarryd Hayne, 9ers don't seem to want to use him. Hayne would fill 4 positions of need: kick returner, punt returner, gunner and short yardage RB.

He runs way too upright for short yardage.

The lack of returns will be like a death by thousand cuts if they don't find someone who can do the job competently.

Beasley is great as the fair catcher. Witten could be the kneeler.

All the yards you <don't> get by not having a real return man sorta silently add up over the season progresses and put the team at a field position disadvantage.

The extra 5 yards per return good returns

I wanted to draft Stephon Diggs really bad and hoped MINN cut C Patterson once DIggs impressed at camp.

Lucky has some skills and needs to be trusted to make some plays.

May run upright but seems to always get positive yardage. If he ever figures out to lean, watch out. Same measurements as Murray (6'2 225) but looks like a truck, especially as a returner.

Looks good in returns but I'd be surprised if they move on so soon.

we only appear to need someone to catch and kneel it in the end zone on KR and fair catch on PR...so, pretty much anyone will do

I think you nailed it. Kick returns are going the way of the Edsel and Do-Do bird. Why even do it anymore. Players just get hurt or we get some holding penalty. Be happy with starting at the 20. We should just fair catch everything and go for the punt block.

Only the teams that have lousy ST believe this. You need all 3 components of the team to be aggressive and firing on all cyclinders. It's like cutting off your left arm because you're right handed.
