This is not a pot stirring thread.

I am really interested to know our options?

Obviously after this season there will be more options... but right now?

I think Garrett may get his shot no matter what.

With the current roster, I can see Bill Cowher stepping in easily.

As much as I was against him. For some reason I think he is what we need.

I think Wade will be the HC if this team makes it to the NFC Championship. If we fail then I think it depends on the job Garrett has done whether he is given the job or not.

Jason Garrett, Mike Shanahan, or Mike Holmgren.

And I put them in the order I would prefer them.

Both Mikes know how to coach a gunslinger like Romo ..... and I have yet to give up on Jason.

If Wade returns ...... I will join Bach's GROJerry club.

One thing's for certain. He won't act like a wallflower around Jerry Jones. That's something every team should have--namely, fire from their head coach in all aspects. That kind of spirit doesn't have to be a raging forest fire, but it shouldn't be regulated to a flickering flame that's barely able to toast marshmallows either.

Now it all makes sense.

Cowher says "get rid TO"
Cowher tells teams to take a hike re: coaching
Jerry and Cowher agree to Cowher being HC in 2010
Jerry dumps TO

The stage is set. "I didnt know it till this day that is was Barzini all along"

Depends on how we finish. If we get to the NFC Championship game, at least, then I think Wade might save his job.

If not then the first thing is it will depend on how much Garrett turns around as the OC this year. If he turns around and has a great year, and shows that improvement, then I do believe he just might be the next coach. If not then I'd say it winds up being one of the Mikes.

I'd love to have Cowher, he's my first choice, but I don't see that ever happening.

I think you nailed it there. I even agree with the order! ;)

I was always of the opinion that Wade had three years to ride off into the sunset, and after that, all bets were off. If Garrett does well this year, I think he has the inside track. Shanahan's in second, though hopefully they don't give him complete control over personel, as he's been rotten with that. Same for Holmgren in third. I think that Shanahan being serious about taking a year off played into Jerry's decision to keep Wade. Rather than institute a new regime, then have to do it again the next year, Wade was kept. So Wade has a year to win it all, Garrett a year to show he really can do it, with a couple of rested old warhorses waiting in the wings if Jerry isn't pleased with this coming year's efforts.

I think it's a three-man race between Garrett, Holmgren and Shanahan.

What happens this year with the offense will determine if Garrett is promoted or not. If it bombs, that opens the door for one of the two Mikes, both of whom are reportedly friends of Jerry.
